Why do southern rappers tend to stick together when northern and western rappers beef all day?

Cause southern dudes are about money.......They won't jeopardize their cash for petty squabbles.

But......"beef" and other forms of controversy DO generate sales. I don't think that the South's sales can really be attributed to a lackof beef.

NY rappers' net worth > Southern rappers' net worth, so that money argument is out the window. But I dunno, I'd attribute it to a few differentthings. None of them would prosper without the unity though.

The South is more of a laid back place than the West and over here in the East. Southerners would rather be commercially successful and get whatever money theycan before they are forgotten...in NYC and everywhere else in the East, it's more about keepin' your credibility on top of not lookin' soft infront of the masses, while havin' money for years to come...key dood, 50 Cent...dood got beef with anything breathin'. And as far as the West, it'sbasically the same as the East, but on a different rating scale that I'm not hep to.

This is a common misconception. There is mad beef in the South. Jeezy/Gucci, TI/Luda, Shawty Lo/TI, Cham/Paul Wall, Cham/Slim Thug.
That's just off the top. I'm sure there is more.

Just looking at that list of beefing Southern rappers, here's another theory....
There's a lot of "party rappers" in the South. No disrespect. Lil Jon, Soulja Boy (sorry y'all), Yin Yang, Jermaine Dupri. Flo Rida now. TPain as well.
If you look at those names I mentioned, a lot of the "street" MC's in the South do have their beefs.
I feel in the East, we have a lot of street dudes, or at least a lot of dudes trying to be street. 50 is a street dude. Mobb Deep, who talk wreckless abouteveryone, are try hard to act tough. Fat Joe a street dude. Styles and Sheek, maybe even Jada. DMX. etc etc.

I feel like the north is a more cutthroat region right now because there is less money to be made with the type of music they are making. They do what theygotta do because the masses are liking the south's product better right now.

If there's 6 hardcore cats in ATL, and 24 in NY, there's probably going to be 4 times as much beef, is what I'msaying.
Geographically, in NY, dudes from different boroughs, or from different parts of the same borough, go at it. Again, that's a street thing that can bereflected in the music. I.e 50 (South Jamaica) and Murder Inc. (Hollis).
