Why does NT hate Jean shorts/Jorts ????

that seems to be the main discussion aside from the weight of the material.

the wide leg joints (i.e. Sean John/Rocawear style) from years ago are the hated type....

i used to rock those as well.... i just got bored and cut up some jeans, people seem to like them.... grey pair on deck...

as for OP, style is a reason. but also, khaki shorts are much lighter in weight and material than jean shorts. i used to be down with jorts back in the day but now my tastes have changed. no extra long shorts for me, my joints sit at the knee now; refreshing. come at me bros

I want to cut my 511's into shorts, but.. I don't want to eff em up. Who's done it, and how long did you cut them? Do you cuff them?

And are the rigid at the edges?

i made the ones im wearing in those pics


just make sure you've washed and dryed them before you cut.

i put them on, marked with a pencil and just cut....

remember: you can always cut more off, but you cant put more back on....



i had my girl sew a couple stitches on the outseam to stop it from splitting though...

i cut off some 511 chinos (khaki), they were my favorite shorts, but i wore em to EDC and my tye dye t-shirt dyed them cuz i got wet (pause)

I've cut a few, (not 511's) but they are going to unravel a bit where you cut
not enough to worry about IMO, but you can put a stitch that will stop it from coming undone though. 

I cut them a little bit below the knee to allow for cuffing.

I try to get a pic in a few...

Ah cool, yeah I'm gauging where to cut them now, I'm going to test a pair of GAP Morrison 1969's first and see how these go.
