Why is Kanye west so angry at Jimmy Kimmel?

lol right.  Zara is like a slightly more expensive H&M, aint nothing designer or exclusive about it.

when I was in Dubai I bought a pair of shorts and a shirt at Zara.  Washed it once and it shrunk 2 sizes, threw it away after that.  Horrible quality.

is this true?

i can name 10 brands off the top of my head that i see around more than zara
Its a Spanish company that is a huge brand, epecially in the middle east.  They dont have many stores in the US, but their profits rose by 22% in 2013, and they had a total income of 16 Billion Euros this year.  Also they have 6000 stores worldwide

yeah i know that they are a huge brand but the largest in the world?

That Zara statement went over your heads. Zara's "thing" is to sell more affordable clothes with high end appeal. I've personally never shopped there before but plenty do. The younger generation def. shops there wether it be for Kanye, Beiber, jay z, lebron or whatever.

You ****** shopping at Binco's are quick to say people dont follow trends of kanye. Like I said earlier, i'm heavily around African Americans of all ages and demographics, and kanye influences a lot of them in some form indirectly.

And I'm around black people of all ages who are influenced by Chief Keef, and French (Versace Versace).  Regardless, his influence is not nearly what he thinks it is.

The stuff that they sell at Zara (idk what Bincos is) isn't the stuff that Ye is pushing.  The leather joggers, running jackets, skirts, super long t's ect, are mainly things you'll see in the Soho/hipster crowd.  Black people aint messing with most of that, and its not because its expensive.  Fendi, Gucci, Louis, Prada, Versace, are all heavily rocked in the hood.  Dope boys will **** up their flip for some high end designer ****.

wait wait wait wait
Kanye's being compared to Jim Jones? Like braids and biker chains Jim Jones? "Ballin'" Jim Jones?

I thought ya'll meant "kool-aid, nikes, and mass suicide" Jim Jones.
Now that would be more accurate, thinking about his followers and all ...

Who do you think the dope boys got it from.

In b4 someone says old school d boys were already rocking high fashion in the 80's and act like the 90's and early 00's weren't composed of sz 53 jeans and white gowns.

To me his music/fashion sense parallel each other. He often tries something raw/experimental. Someone picks up and refines it. Because it's a better product the origin is often lost in translation.

French is from the bx, just like me fam. High end fashion is always going to be something people want.  French and everybody else rocking everything you mentioned but the skirt (which Ye wore as a performance costume)...Until I see other rappers with a message board as big as KTT, people eyeing every move he makes, Kanye can feel however he wants.  imo

he can definitely feel however he wants, its his right.  But as long as he channels that into internet hissy fits, people are going to make fun of him.  Dude looked like a clown with his reaction to that Jimmy Kimmil sketch.  Dude is allowed to take his craft seriously, and people respect that, but people don't respect a grown man thrown PMS fits and backing them up with Spongebob memes which is the bigger picture.  Ye is a highly respected artist in plenty of demographics, but lets not act like he has some affinity for black America, except when it comes to him being the "chastised black man"

and I'll await a picture of French rocking leather jogging pants

There will always be a separation amongst the black community.  Kanye, coming from an educated middle class home and not truly identifying with the streets already vilifies his "blackness" amongst urban black america.  So to be chastised for something his own people don't associate him with is an interesting situation.

The dope boys got it from the dope boys since the 80's. That's ALWAYS been their thing. Gucci/LV/MCM prints. Back to the Dapper Dan days.

BIG, Jay, PAC all rocked Versace and designer clothes. Yet another thing that's been done to DEATH for quite some time.

Nah bro, not even.  Drake, J Cole, Wiz, Rakim, Chuck D, De La Soul, ect are all middle class rappers who fit in just fine in the urban demographic. Dude does pop music with white pop artists, and gangsta **** with Pusha T, so I feel like hes just fine in that regard

My point is that, the only time that being black is "a thing" to Kanye is when he feels like he can say that he's being slighted for being black. Meanwhile he's a fixture in mainstream media, and in demographics encompassing every color of the rainbow.

But I'll say this, Hip Hop, as a largely black male driven industry (not as the #1 consumer group, but black men still drive the industry for the most part), wouldnt be accepting of people throwing temper tantrums at the rate he does

Not one of those mentioned is on Kanye's level, from a media perspective.

Drake maybe now, but he still gets a bad rap for his "soft" music.  I wasn't in the prime of my life when Rakim was killing the game so I wont speak on it.

Media is different now than it was back then obviously. De La were damn near Pop stars when "Me Myself and I" dropped. And brought it back to earth on their next album.

It's hysterical to me that people dwell on Kanye's magnitude as a "media personality" when 9 times out of 10, it's for all the wrong reasons.

And the fact that Kanye achieved that level in hip hop given his middle class background speaks more to the fact that black America isn't worried about his middle class background.  Hell, Chuck D was as outspoken as Ye if not more, being middle class never held him back.  And he stuck to his pro black image 200%.

The difference between him and Kanye is that, Kanye will only pull the black trick out of the bag when he feels like he's slighted, and he wants to portray the black victim.
