While PARTS of Detroit may be bad, it's a big city with a lot to do. I frequent the downtown area throughout the summer for Tigers games and have a great time. Here are some pictures for people who think we're like Cleveland or something...
Campus Martius in the winter:
Greektown (not touchin stuff I had in Chicago...but some
deep dish pizza and a nice casino)

I've definitely felt safer in the some of the slums of Jamaica than i have in the hoods of Detroit. My cousins all live on the Westside off 7mile and even they be too afraid to take me to some places.
I still F's with the D tho..

Chi City is nice downtown but as far as dangerous.... Place is no where you want to be out in the inner city at all. They don't get the bad pub like someone said it's a big tourist spot.

I was driving back from visiting Chicago back to Toronto. To get there you have to pass the Windsor/Detroit border. Right before the border, I took the wrong exit and ended up somewhere in Detroit at 11pm. First thing I noticed, somebody had removed the street signs. I just made some sudden movements, accelerated quick time till I finally found an exit.
Listen to me. I've been to cities in Africa, cities in Pakistan, Middle East, Cuba, Mexico, etc all around the world. And Detroit looked as 3rd world as any of them

Funny part is, people in Detroit actually think this is an accomplishment for them
also Detroit is absolutely horrendous. Honestly all of Michigan should be sanctioned and put under federal control.
