Would you break up a fight at work?

Nope.

There was almost a fight couple weeks ago. That was probably the most exciting thing almost to happen at work.

My old part time job used to have Hella fights happening... Was a Buncha dudes that just got out working there

My old manager is hella frail. He actually broke up a fight between two 300 pound walruses. They both hated him so the fight stopped when he tried to get between them and they both just started asking him “wtf are you gonna do Steve?”

I guess it worked. :lol:

A dude was beating up his wife and a (good samaritan)interrupted him and start whooping the abuser. Then the wife stab the (good samaritan) in the testicles. Cops were called and the abuser and his wife left together while the (good samaritan) went to the emergency room.

I was the first to saw the man beating up the woman but a co-worker told me not to get involved and called the police immediately.
 
If it's employee vs. employee?

Not my drama, not my business. Let them duke it out and enjoy the show until security/cops are called.

However, I work in healthcare and I have a legal obligation to keep my patients protected. Would probably try to physically remove a crazy coworker or family member if I thought that the threat to myself was low enough to where I wouldn't be placing myself in serious harm's way. Worst case scenario I'd just call for security to come up and regulate then explain myself later.
 
I got into a fight at work
When I worked at the airport
I worked the ramp
The folks who load unload the planes
Me and this dude got into it on the plane
We were break riding the plane
Driving it to another part of the airport
We get into an argument
Don’t even remember what it was about
This was like 05
But he put his finger in my face so I picked him up and dipped him while we in the isle of the plane
It was on a American Airlines planrest of my coworkers pull us apart
And we both like alright it’s on after work
He was this Cuban dude
So we do our work for the night
it’s around 2am
Me and a couple coworkers used to always do double shifts
So we was gonna head to the 24hr ihop
Eat then sleep at the office
Till it was time to go an Hawaiian airlines flight
So we all hop in the van to leave the airport and go to the office
We hop out the van
I forgot about the whole thing cause it happened earlier in the day
And we all talking bout ihop
So we all hop out
Dude hops out and pulls a ****ing pipe out his jacket
Dude had been holding onto a pipe for the whole damn drive from airport to the office
On a van full of people
Anyway he tries to swing
He misses I grab the pipe and throw it
Everyone just watching
I have him a 2 piece
Then dipped him on the ground
Got on top of him and was just giving him head shots
Finally I’m like it’s enough
I ain’t tryna overdo it
Dude ain't get no hits in
I’m like alright it’s done I go to sit in the van with the door open to catch my breath and so me and my other coworkers who was doing the double shift
Could get ready to go to ihop
Dude gets up
And pulls out a pocket knife runs to my and jail house sHanks my legs
Like 5-6 times
I’m like aye he got a knife
I couldn’t move cause I was just in the seat
Another coworker runs up and knocks him out
Police ambulance and fire truck comes
I get taken to the hospital
I get my leg stapled
I almost actually lost my leg as well
Cause of the turnikit my coworker used was toooooo tight
Also my leg had got infected as well
Couldn’t walk on that leg for MONTHS
I still have no feeling on some of the areas in my leg
And some parts are more sensitive than others
Something with the nerves
Don’t know what happened to dude
Never seen him after that day
They sent me some stuff in the mail to go to court or something against him or something
Idk I didn’t go
My job let me go but then rehired me like 7 months later at the other airport we got out here
Also coulda got PAID from the incident
Dude was illegal and all that
But I was young and had a whatever attitude
Part of the reason I got hired back
Cause they was like ooooh he ain’t suing
But again I was young and didn’t know

U suppose to call dr strong
Or code grey
or whatever code ur hospital uses for security
Ur not suppose to intervene in those situations
At least that’s how my hospital and the ones in our network operate

There's policy/protocol and then there's real life.
If I felt I could safely de-escalate a situation quicker than security could get there, I'm giving it my best shot while I get the code called overhead.
If not, I'm hands-off.
