there was a caller on jericho's mick foley podcast that asked if he should feel guilty about being a wrestling fan...
with all the corruption, accusations of molestation, negative social influence, etc...
mick & chris immediately understood the question (mick actually gasped i think) - but then they purposefully gave an answer specifically on wrestlers abusing their bodies...
...they couldn't even answer the question directly as they both bought into the business years ago & both protect it as their livelihoods still in part depend on it

when i was a kid, it always disturbed me how 'macho man' randy savage would verbally abuse elizabeth & often threaten physical abuse
i understood the fine line between face & heel savage wanted to portray, but that element still never sat well with me
years into it, the wwf kind of blurred the abuse angle in with savage being a triumphant face with a beautiful loving wife by his side
and even years later, savage has become an icon of wrestling, deserving so in part due to his pace & athletic talent
but his character could never be a favorite of mine
