WWE SUMMERSLAM PPV 8/20 8PM ET - HHH V BROCK LESNAR | PUNK V CENA V SHOW P27

There was a talent meeting before last night's Raw where they wanted to address the "grievances" that they've heard over the past week. I don't know who led this meeting, but the gist was that no one spoke up (just as JTG predicted in his tweets).  The gist of meeting was to "be smart" and "use common sense" on social media.

There was also a "clerical error" in regards to the payoffs from the last Brazil tour.  The talent will be receiving an additional check for their work on that tour.

I listed to observer radio this morning and can confirm this report-

"During a backstage meeting prior to Raw, WWE addressed anybody being unhappy in the locker room prior to last night's Raw. Officials asked that if anyone was unhappy that they should speak up, and nobody did. They ended the backstage meeting by saying to use common sense and be careful with social media."

If this is the case then I can't really say I respect the locker room. I wish someone had pulled some ****, but these guys have been beaten down and walking on eggshells for so long that it was probably never going to happen. I would rather start another career than working in a **** environment no matter how long I've wanted to wrestle. The guys got new checks from the Brazil tour and WM weekend.. but still. That doesn't right the wrongs done to the mid carders. WHERE'S OTUNGA WHEN YOU NEED HIM?

Also, they really should made made one of these

So basically no grievances were actually aired? :lol of course. That clerical error is pretty convenient.

One time I will be respectful to GHIMS.

Please put all your divas pictures in spoilers so we can keep this thread safe for all locations.

The Union. I liked that stable.

Unfortunately, they need a top guy to back them for that to happen and WWE compensates them well so that never happens.

I've been telling people that an angry black stable would be perfect right now.  AW as the mouthpiece, Mark Henry as the veteran muscle, PTP, JTG, etc.  They could play off of real life grievances.

Of course they would get buried but it'd be cool to watch for a little while.

Those guys have zero balls. The mid carders and low guys are JUST as important as the top guys. They're 6-10 legit superstars. That is a small portion compared to the rest of the talent roster. You have to take a stand at some point and say enough is enough. I'd rather work a basic 9-5 with dignity than be a whipping boy for comedic value for my entire career. Paying dues is one thing. Bending over and letting Vince and company rear end you with Cena's merchandise is another.

These guys have put in years of sweat and tears to make to the big leagues. Where is the heart? The pay must be nice.

I think one of the sites mentioned it though in relation to JTG's rant. Those guys open their mouths, they lose their jobs or are subject to what JTG got which was a total squash. I am sure he came to the back and VKM turned to him and said "how was the tv time out there."

They can't for a "real union" cause top guys like Punk and Cena could careless and do not want to lose their money or pull. Low tier guys would still have no say so why also. They are caught in the middle when it comes to "Real Complaints" unless you have pull. I am sure if JTG went to VKM himself, he could of spared the match last night and might of gotten some things off his chest to him (probably would of been axed too but VKM likes guys that standup for themselves.)

:rollin

All what you said is true though. A bunch of wet noodles in the locker room.

I fully expect to see JTG released this Friday.

As do I 4W. I just think Vince and Co used him as the EXAMPLE since he did not want to open his mouth any further. I am sure they are getting their checks once he is released.

Outside of....

Cena (important enough to say whatever he wants but is also a company man so he will probably never speak out of line)

Orton (important enough in WWE's eyes and also doesn't seem to give a f)

Punk (probably important enough and also doesn't give a f)

Sheamus (HHH's best friend which means he probably won't speak out)

I think everyone else on the active roster is fireable in WWE's eyes.  These guys know it.  Like you said Lobo, they're walking on eggshells afraid to do anything wrong.  It really is an awful work environment.

Shame on you case for posting those pics of Linda Hogan.

In that 3rd pic I mistook part of that TMZ watermark for one of Linda's sagging *******.

Raw's viewership was down 233k viewers last night compared to last week.  They were expecting a bounce back after the Olympics, but instead the show went the other way.

BECOME AN NXT SUPERSTAR

What level of performer are you?
Beginner

This would describe a person who has never been trained in a legitimate ring by a legitimate trainer. This description means that you are starting from square one, with no legitimate prior experience in sports entertainment. Your in-ring physical conditioning may not be up to WWE standards.
Some Experience

This description can be used for someone who has been trained by a reputable trainer in a legitimate fashion. This description would mean that you have been trained prior to performing in front of an audience, and have some understanding of the basics of in ring fundamentals. Your in-ring physical conditioning and physique may or may not be up to WWE standards. 'Some experience' does NOT include 'backyard wrestling,' or the like.
Advanced

This description would describe a person who has received legitimate training from a reputable trainer, performed for a number of years for respectable companies, and has achieved a level of recognition within the realm of sports entertainment. This more than likely would include performing for top independent promotions around the United States, Mexico, Japan and more. An advanced performer would have a good grasp of fundamentals and psychology, along with in-ring conditioning and a physique that is up to WWE standards.

'If it were easy, everyone would do it.'

Pursuing a career in Sports Entertainment is not an easy road to travel down. The flash, glamour, glitz, fame and celebrity that comes along with being a WWE Superstar is not something one can achieve without a great deal of hard work, focus and determination. The best of the best in WWE keep themselves in top physical and mental condition, maintaining rigorous workouts and meeting their demanding schedules. It is not uncommon for a WWE Superstar to be traveling over 250 days or more a year. There is no off season in Sports Entertainment, and, as such, the performers have to constantly make sure that they are able to devote the necessary attention to their physique and appearance, in addition to the considerable amount of in ring training necessary in order to succeed.

The first step towards becoming a WWE Superstar can be made at Florida Championship Wrestling, but before you consider this as a career path, there are certain questions you must ask yourself:

Am I in physical shape and a physical state to endure the difficult training? Can I handle the bumps, bruises and injuries that come with any athletic endeavor?
Could my physique be considered on the same standard as a WWE Superstar?
Is there something about my look or personality that attracts people to me?
If I achieve success, I will be on the road the majority of the year. Is being away from home and family something I can handle?
Do I have the athletic ability or come from an athletic background that would allow me to perform that may allow me to perform on par with WWE's standards?
Success rarely comes overnight in Sports Entertainment. Years of training often go in to a performer before they receive an opportunity to be looked at. Do I have the patience to learn from my failures and apply what is told to me?
Do I have a good attitude? Those in training often receive critiques of their mistakes and how to correct them. Am I willing to listen to honest criticism and accept it?
There are no guarantees in Sports Entertainment. Do I truly have passion for this business? Am I willing to sacrifice and tough it out in order to succeed, or do I just want success handed to me?
Part of becoming a WWE Superstar starts with respect. Respect for the trainers, the company, and what it takes to make the entire organization run smoothly. If you receive an opportunity to train, you will be asked to help in ways outside of the ring. This may entail helping with promotions, media relations, charity work and more. Am I willing to go the extra mile and earn the respect of my peers and trainers by helping in any capacity necessary?
Knowing all of this, do I want to make Sports Entertainment a career choice?

I'll just make money by continuing my career & maybe do a tour of Japan one day or something. NO THX WWE. MAYB IN ANUTHER LIFE.

So much truth :{ Even guys like Kane, Big Show, and Kofi Kingston -- all which have no controversy or anything surrounding them -- would not be off the hook.

Raw did a 2.84 rating, the lowest in a long time.  Ratings do not necessarily correlate to buy rates, but it certainly isn't a great indicator of interest heading into SUMERslam.

i honestly am not interested in Summerslam at all. The only thing I'm really exciting regarding summerslam is they are going to reveal the wwe 13 roster this weekend.Other than that the card is boring the only match I'm kind of interested in is y2j vs ziggler .
