I like smash as much as the next man, but can't have it in the same convo with fighting games like street fighter for ME it's not the same thing..

street fighter is probably the most iconic fighting game around.

Either that or Mortal Kombat.

i realize hardcore fight fans don't put it in the pantheon.
But hands down, my favorite fighter of all time is Soul Calibur 1/2

Its the only fighting game that I ever got better at intuitively (i.e.. not memorizing combos), but instead learning the rhythms and natural movement
Combo fighters are super unsatisfying to me, but SC emphasized reading space, movement, body-language

Once tekken 7 or tekken/street fighter releases or when enough people have said games, I'd be down to set up a tourney.

It would have been cool if they had that option like race for in-game credits.

Fighting games are the only games I'd put cash on the line.

Makes the matches that much more intense.
