Just get the charge kit. You can plug it in all the time which means you never have to stop playing. NEVER

Yea... Mine looked terrible, tried new cable and that didn't work then I calibrated my tv through the xbox and now it looks great.

It really seems like the easiest way.
The play and charge dies out, decreases length of charge, cable messes up (you know, when you connect the cable but the light doesnt turn on, then you realize the cable done messed up and you have to hold it in a certain position without moving for it to stay on.)
Instead of paying $25 for a new kit every time and needing the cable to recharge,
I use a set that lasts a week, while having another fully charged set as backup. Once i switch, i leave the other charging all night. Once they permanently die out (like 6 months later) it only costs $13 for another set of 4.
No wires, no interruption.

The P/C kit is only good for the xb1, will rechargable batteries are good for pretty much anything that uses rechargeable batteries.

It's all matter of preference. I got the energizer 2x charger. It's definitely better than the play and charge kit and rechargeables IMO because there's no wires and you don't have to change out batteries. When I'm done playing I just put it on the stand so basically it never go's dead.

Question for the rechargable better heads... Can you put your rechargable batteries in ya xbox controller and then plug a micro usb cable in the controller and recharge up the battery??

No, but theres no point in doing that.
Most sets of recheargeable batteries come with 4+.
When the batteries go out, switch to the charged ones, and charge the ones that died. Rinse, repeat

To anyone still getting the black screen problem after the guy w/ the mask on COD Ghosts, or ANYONE having problems with the Xbox One and games-
I had to call Xbox Customer Support because I was getting the black screen issue.. dude said that 90% of the Xbox One's game problems can be fixed by clearing the cache.
His theory is as follows- the Xbox One is by default set to "Instant On" power-up, which basically means that it never completely turns off. It's like putting your computer or phone in "sleep" mode. He said that if there's a game update, it'll download it while it's in sleep mode. This can sometimes cause problems because the console won't completely restart when you turn it off, thus causing a corruption in the cache.
SO, to fix the black screen (and possibly any other problems regarding game issues like this), here's how you reset your cache.
Go to your home screen > hit the menu button (button w / three lines on your controller) > Go to settings > Power Up settings > Change the "Instant On" setting to "Energy Saving".. (This basically just makes it so that it completely shuts off, and it won't turn on from the "Xbox, On" command)
Now, back out and make sure that it saves. After you check, push and hold the power button on the Xbox itself until it shuts off completely and stops making any noise.
Release the power button, often times the console will turn back on itself, if not then turn it on.
Your cache is now cleared, and you shouldn't experience the black screen anymore on COD. (Not 100% sure on other problems, but it's worth a try.)
You can switch back the power up setting back to "Instant On". Just switch it back if you need to clear the cache again.
Hope this helps anyone that is experiencing that, or hopefully it'll work on a few other issues as well. Thought I'd share it w/ the famb. Happy gaming.

None of my games do this anymore but he's correct.
There is a faster way to do it.. although it requires you to get up so many people may not be interested even though its faster.
Just hit the power button on the console and hold it for about 10 seconds and it will do a full power down.
Also if the plug is plugged into a convenient spot you could always unplug it (after its already been "turned off") and plug it back in.
The customer service way allows you to remain sitting tho so thats cool. just takes a minute to monkey with the settings.

I just got this, but when I walk in the room and the Xbox is off and I say "Xbox On" or "Xbox Turn On" it doesn't.
