I think it's based off wins. I remember then saying they did away with the point system all other games now have
Sounds cool. I like the progression, but a change of pace that brings it all back to TEAM success would be a breathe of fresh air. Not so heavy on KD ratio, lone-wolf playing
Only thing that would change is people would only want to play when they have a full party and are guaranteed a win and the casual gamer without a party would lose the majority of the time and wouldn't rank up.YES, half the reason, if not more, people don't "care" anymore is because win or lose, you still get points. Being back losers getting nothing. It would change everythingSounds cool. I like the progression, but a change of pace that brings it all back to TEAM success would be a breathe of fresh air. I don't know if you play any FPS games but teams aren't an indication of being skill. Majority of dudes I run across in COD are trash, most parties are composed of 1 dude thats good and another thats average while the rest of the squads only purpose is not to die too often. I've got a family, to tell me the only way for me to rank up is by coordinating with 5 other adults about when and how we can play a video game is a joke. You dudes that think everybody that picks up a controller is trying to be an MLG pro need to understand that your part of a very small minority. And that's how the games should work. You don't want to lose? Get better, get a team.
Games these days are nothing but practice mode over and over. Zero competition.
You don't rank up if you lose? OF COURSE NOT.

I get the spirit of what your saying but ranking up in FPS games have always been about the time put into playing the game and not skill. I'm not trying to defend bad players or players that never really attempt to improve but they are the majority of the customer base. All I play are FPS and fighting games. When you lose in one player does the game just send you to the next level? No, you learn until you beat it. In multiplayer, why would you rank up if you keep losing? Because you got 3 kills but does 23 times? When you reach a rank that you can't seem to get higher than, that's YOUR RANK. Halo 2 is a perfect example of this. All these point system based games promote not caring. All of a sudden winning the game doesn't matter anymore, just your kill streak.
It's not about being "hardcore" or mlg, it's about winning to progress forward.

What type of beep are we talking. A loud one or a little one you can barely hear. Either way I don't recall hearing one ever.
Not sure if you are in a rush or not but I believe the official Xbox One headsets drop next month in line with Titanfall, those will support audio as well as chat.
aight so im finally buying one within the week or two. and wondering: should i go via retail store like best buy or whatever, or should i cop one off craigslist for like $500 even?
