actually the environment wasnt as bad as it was now. they could chain smoke and live to be 80/90 cuz monsanto wasnt a monster as it was now, plus most of them in rural parts lived off the land lived off the local markets. now a days theres only 4 major major farm companies as i understand from food inc.Originally Posted by 51and3rd

Thats my issue. I understand tryna eat healthy but %+%* yall cant live forever lol. Enjoy what you want. You think your great grandparents that lived into their 70's 80's and 90's had better foods then we do? Or that cigs and vodka wasnt part of daily routine? You cant out run the reaper.

Exactly.
Fresh organic fruits and veggies for me.
I try my best to stay away from packaged and processed food.
cats drink half a jug of orange juice...its like the sugar from 12 oranges...im sure each glass has the sugar from 4 to 5 oranges in it. you dont sit and eat 5 oranges at once...ever.
you go ahead and juice 3 apples and a banana, and drink your half cup of juice with some ridiculous amount of sugar in it
llike i said, limit the sweet fruits and add veggies.
There are differences between the different sugars. When we eatsucrose, our bodies quickly break it down into roughly equal parts ofglucose and fructose. Glucose is the sugar our bodies use for bothphysical and mental energy. When our bodies sense an increase ofglucose in the blood, it immediately directs the pancreas to pushinsulin into the blood stream. With the insulin, the body is able toburn the glucose as energy. If there's too much glucose in the bloodstream to be used as energy, the glucose can be changed to glycogen, the body's short-term storage energy supply. And if the glycogen poolis already full, the body will turn it into long term storage in theform of fat.Different blood-sugar effects possible aftereating a high concentration of sucrose sugar.Different blood-sugar effects possible after eating a highconcentration of sucrose sugar.Depending on the condition of the pancreas, the above graph shows whatcan happen when a person eats a lot of sucrose sweets at one time. Ineach of the three cases, the large amount of sugar dramatically raisesthe blood-sugar level but the results can be radically different if nomedication is given.Eating a huge amount of sugar at once with it's resultant spike in theblood-sugar level can cause stress to a weak pancreas as it strugglesto deliver enough insulin to bring down the blood-sugar to acceptablelevels.
