Strong emphasis on "thus far" as Cruel Summer and a couple of other projects are still on their way.

10. Pusha-T "New God Flow":
Crazy beat, Pusha sounded energized, Kanye did his thing....but then almost ruins the song at the end.

09. Mac Miller "Luck A-- B----":
Lex Luger is actually a really dope producer now that he's kinda chilled on that repetitive formula. I love that sample.

08. Lil B "Task Force":
This song rekindled my interest in based, at least for like a month. Not as funny as when I first heard it. Still cool tho'.

07. Lloyd Banks "Make It Stack" (Came out last year I think but I'd never heard it until this past Spring)
Amazing song. Cold Corner 2 is Banks best work by far. Love this beat.

06. SpaceGhostPurrrp "The Black God" (Might've come out before 2012, not sure)
SGP's beats are crazy. I love this song but the video is even better.

05. Rick Ross "Amsterdam"
Beautiful instrumental. I renamed the song "Rotterdam" tho because that city is so much more modern and relaxed than Amsterdam.

04. Nas "Back When"
I'm closer to 30 than I am to 20 so this is like the official old-head anthem. Growing up in the 80's/90's >>>>>>>>

03. Wiz Khalifa "Rowland"
Perfect song when you're out on a YOLO trip with the homies somewhere in Europe. Best years of our lives.

02. Curren$Y "Sixty-Seven Turbo Jet":
Beat makes me want to just post up on a sofa on the beach with my girl and watch the sun go down.

01. Wiz Khalifa "Morocco" :
Suprisingly meaningful and dreamy track from Wiz. I can play this on repeat for HOURS.

:smokin

As you can tell I'm more into riding music. Chill beats, kind of sparse lyrics, songs you can just zone out to and relate to them in your own personal way. Like I have no idea what Ross is rambling about on "Amsterdam", something about people needing permission to kill him :smile:rolleyes) but the beat is just....:smh: x:x so he gets a pass.

Peace.

Not in order. List is probably gonna change after I hear Cruel Summer and good kid, m.A.A.d city.

Kendrick Lamar - The Recipe
Big Sean x Jay-Z x Kanye - Clique
Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools
Nas - The Don
Rick Ross x Wale x Drake - Diced Pineapples
GOOD Music x 2 Chainz - Mercy
Pusha T x Kanye - New God Flow
T.I. - Go Get It
Kendrick Lamar - Cartoons & Cereal
Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You (can't really pick one song from Channel Orange, honestly)

1a. Cartoon & Cereal - Kendrick Lamar Feat. Gunplay
1b. Saltkin - Purity Ring
3. Swimming Pools - Kendrick Lamar
4. Sam Is Dead - Tyler The Creator & Domo Genesis
5. Terrorist Threats Feat. Danny Brown- Ab-Soul
6. Traffic - Lil Reese Feat. Chief Keef
7. T-Model - Arkist & Komonazmuk
8. Fineshrine - Purity Ring
9. Springs Feat. Butterclock - oOoOO
10. Obedear- Purity Ring

Honorable mention: What's In Your Head - Disclosure

This was actually tough for me to do, because I experience moments with songs where I'm like "This is the one, I love it the most" then I'll switch. But Cartoon & Cereal & Saltkin are definitely at the top for me.

EDIT: I had to edit "T-Model" in there man, the vibe that's orchestrated from that track just does something to me.

Definitely agree with you about that Mac Miller song with that Lex Luger beat. No slight to Mac, but I wish that was a Juicy J solo song.

My faves of 2012 according to itunes:

1) Chinx Drugz - Holla At A N_
Harry Fraud is too ill on the boards, and Chinx Drugz is distinctive enough for me to keep checking for his stuff.

2) Big KRIT w/ Bun B & Big Sant - Pull Up
I knew this would be my favorite song from Live From The Underground as soon as the hook hit.

3) Waka Flocka w/ Alley Boy & Slim Thug - U Ain't Bout That Life
Song gets me hype as hell, and it seems like both Lex Luger and Southside are getting tired of their own beats since their recent stuff has been
a pretty good contrast from the usual

4) Future - Itchin
LOVE this beat, and even though I can't stand Future, he's made a bunch of good catchy songs.

5) Mak Mustard w/ Al Pac - Keep It Tall
As long as Max B is in jail, and Dame Grease keeps supplying his affiliates with beats like this, I'll keep listening to them.

6) Wiz Khalifa w/ 50 Cent - Telescope
Unexpected collabo with Harry Fraud coming through again.

7) A$AP Mob w/ Jim Jones - Freeze
Such a good distinctive beat that rides, and Jim Jones doesn't sound out of place at all with his hilarious verse

8 ) Juicy J w/ Wiz Khalifa & Chevy Woods - Cup
This "Up" beat is crazy even if understated, and only got better with these 3, especially Juicy J on it.

9) Nipsey w/ Rick Ross - Proud of That
Nipsey is my dude. Ross' verse on this song may be better than any of his verses on his album.

10) David Banner w/ J Doe - No Choice
Cold *** beat with a slight sample (I think), and Banner always comes through even on some mainstream sounding stuff.

Cartoons & Cereal dropped earlier this year, right? All I know is that track is #1 and everything else comes after.

EDIT: Maybach Music IV is somewhere on my list too, possibly as high as #2. I'm not a list guy so I don't feel like making a top 10...maybe later if I give it some thought.
