Strong emphasis on "thus far" as Cruel Summer and a couple of other projects are still on their way.
10. Pusha-T "New God Flow":
Crazy beat, Pusha sounded energized, Kanye did his thing....but then almost ruins the song at the end.
09. Mac Miller "Luck A-- B----":
Lex Luger is actually a really dope producer now that he's kinda chilled on that repetitive formula. I love that sample.
08. Lil B "Task Force":
This song rekindled my interest in based, at least for like a month. Not as funny as when I first heard it. Still cool tho'.
07. Lloyd Banks "Make It Stack" (Came out last year I think but I'd never heard it until this past Spring)
Amazing song. Cold Corner 2 is Banks best work by far. Love this beat.
06. SpaceGhostPurrrp "The Black God" (Might've come out before 2012, not sure)
SGP's beats are crazy. I love this song but the video is even better.
05. Rick Ross "Amsterdam"
Beautiful instrumental. I renamed the song "Rotterdam" tho because that city is so much more modern and relaxed than Amsterdam.
04. Nas "Back When"
I'm closer to 30 than I am to 20 so this is like the official old-head anthem. Growing up in the 80's/90's >>>>>>>>
03. Wiz Khalifa "Rowland"
Perfect song when you're out on a YOLO trip with the homies somewhere in Europe. Best years of our lives.
02. Curren$Y "Sixty-Seven Turbo Jet":
Beat makes me want to just post up on a sofa on the beach with my girl and watch the sun go down.
01. Wiz Khalifa "Morocco" :
Suprisingly meaningful and dreamy track from Wiz. I can play this on repeat for HOURS.
As you can tell I'm more into riding music. Chill beats, kind of sparse lyrics, songs you can just zone out to and relate to them in your own personal way. Like I have no idea what Ross is rambling about on "Amsterdam", something about people needing permission to kill him rolleyes) but the beat is just.... x:x so he gets a pass.
Peace.
