And yet, how many of the above have we seen gretchen use throughout the course of the show?

Again, Edgar has a pharmacy's worth of pills. You do not know which pills made him feel a certsin way or which combination of pills made him feel and behave that way.

Furthermore, clearly w/e Gretchen is taking isnt resulting in her feeling and behaving the way Edgar is.

And how has she been reacting to them? I would say absolutely nothing like Edgar was while on them.

What do you mean getting married when not doing shh? Her and Jimmy completed everything on their to do list to get ready for the wedding. It was a long *** list of menial tasks. They did that.

Exactly what isnt she doing that you want her to do?

Gretchen did the exact same thing she did on her job she always did back when she didn't care. The only difference is her promotion and interactions with her boss made her care more and she did the same wild **** she always did only this time she got caught and fired for it.

What exactly about the debt issues? How does that pertain to her medicating herself? Gretchen made it very clear about her approach to debt seasons ago and it was revealed to Jimmy and he still chose to stay with her. Jimmy even foolishly thought she expected him to make money just so her debt could be paid off but nope Gretchen doesnt even give a **** about that.

O and misleading her therapist and parents until the last minutes of their interactions

Again, so? Gretchen is a liar and can manipulate. These are not new facts.

We're not talking about changing her entire personality. Nor are the drugs intended to do that.

I'm asking whats your point? These are known facts. They dont change a thing. This has been who Gretchen is since s1 for the most part.

You were just pretending like Gretchen doing Edgar's meds somehow made her worse but they havent. She's arguably been worse prior to that. There's no need to bring up her past actions. I'm well aware of them.

Jimmy's and Gretchen's relationship may be dysfunctional to you but it works for them. It's not like Jimmy was forced or tricked or assumed he had to propose. In the end, he wanted to.

Gretchen and jimmy MIGHT make it through the wedding, but neither has actual changed for the better for the other

See this is what I've been saying all along. Jimmy and Gretchen have a unique relationship specific to them and they've found a way to make it work.

Look @ that last joke and exchange; Gretchen warns Jimmy of her drop of the hat I'll commit suicide and Jimmy brushes it off saying he'll move in quickly and then they eat breakfast for dinner.

However, many years later they got kids and are still together.

Lindsay getting back with Paul though. After he knocked up her sis. She could've got a better ending.

Gotta give it to Edgar, he showed up.. better friend than jimmy deserves/deserves

Jimmy and Edgar aren't close friends like they use to be cuz he pulled all those a-hole moves and he moved to NYC to try and make tv series based off booka or plays or w/e while he's still coping with his mental illness and is still alone.

Need to rewatch the whole season again, but specifically those little future snippets.. especially the one where he pulls up to his former place with the red Audi and flower girl

I would put it on par with Broad City though. Very funny. Very ****ed up characters.
