We can't afford to play with 2 forwards against any team with a decent midfield. We'd essentially be playing with 10 men. We don't have that type of creativity/talent in the midfield to do that.

First of all...Serie A is just as physical as the EPL. If not more. 2nd...have you actually watched him play? He has the build of a Yaya Toure and is very physical. He'll be fine. He's a physical midfielder not some finesse attacking player like Ozil.

What does a striker have to do with reinforcing our midfield?  We need somebody to play alongside Matic just as much as we need a striker.  Modric, Kroos, Vidal, Pogba, or Javi Martinez would be ideal. 

No. I love watching Brazil play. But let's be real here. None of their mids/attackers would start for Spain, Germany, or Argentina. Best player is Neymar, who wouldn't even start for Germany or Spain.  They play well together but they don't have the elite world class talent the other countries...
