¹ 2008 Spring Football/Summer Workouts (updates) ©

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel said quarterback Ben Olson re-injured his surgically-repaired foot during a non-contact drill midway through practice. Olson is undergoing x-rays, and could have an MRI on Sunday.
Neuheisel said it was on the same play Olson broke the fifth metatarsal in his foot in the spring.
The extent of the injury is not yet known, but Olson was carted off the field.
Kevin Craft took the snaps with the first team, and Kevin Prince and Chris Foricer had second-team reps. In fact, Forcier looked sharp late in the practice and continued to get snaps.

in other news the sun came up today

pretty much for olson

Does anyone know if Demetrius Jones (ND Transfer to Cinci) is eligible to play this season???
now that the NCAA Finally said enough is enough to 8th yr senior Matt Mauk, their QB situationmay not be too stable

any chance of him playing?

Not sure if he's eligible but..

Update: Grutza will become Cincinnati's starting quarterback now that Ben Mauk's appeal for a sixth year of eligibility has been turned down, theCincinnati Enquirer reports.

I think he does have a chance because he transferred to Cinci before they started school last year.

Y'all (all schools) have y'all media day yet????

Any pics/news ???

I know F$U had theirs this weekend, so its a couple pics around....

Oh yeah, 4* DB Brandon McGee is supposed to announce this morning.... Between FSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Miami.....He's prolly gonna be a Cane...

Kid is a hella athlete. Good pickup.

But what's good w/ the kid committing to Coley and FSU then going to Randy and telling him he was gonna be a Cane??

Kid started playing lots of games towards the end of his recruitment. Announcing that he's dropping UM (When everyone knew this wasn't true and hewas gonna eventually go to UM) only to pick them back up and put them on his list like a day later. I mean, he's a Lauderhill So. Fla kid. Primetimerecruit w/ Cane ties. 8/10 times, that type of kid ends up in Coral Gables.

note: This is NOT hate. Just questioning a Cane's opinion on this dude and how he was trying to draw more attention to his announcement.

Clemson has it's first serious injury of the pre-season. Rashaad Jackson, starting DT and one of the defensive leaders tore his quad and is out at leastuntil midseason.

All recruits ever do is play games. Not all of them but a lot of them do. SUPPOSEDLY it was false reports according to some people about him nottaking UM serious but who knows.

I don't really take these verbal commits seriously unless proven other wise.

Believe it when they sign the LOI to the committed school.

I mean, It can't be a false report. It came right out of the kids mouth. But whatever, its water under the bridge. He might turn out to be a good one foryou bastards

I feel you on the verbal commits, but when a kid is planning on being an EE, the verbal has a little bit more sticking power to it. Still not 100%, but more sothan if he was to be a normal recruit and come in the summer. Its a wrap on McGee though. He's all Caine.

The Seminole HS trio (Dyron Dye, Ray Ray Armstrong and Andre Debose),

are all gonna go to !*@@+@+ MIAMI.

I don't care about Dye and Ray Ray, they can do whatever.

But I would like to see Debose in Garnet and Gold.

And apparently, Budd Thacker , FSU DT (who went to Seminole HS) is recruiting AGAINST FSU towards these kids. May or may not be true. Butpeople close to the situation are saying that it is very likely that this is really going on...

1 or 2 of them might not qualify though....

I don't see the Caines winning 5 (Though I would LOVE to see it)

I don't see them winning 10 either.

I think they will win between 7-8 games.

9 is probably there best case scenario and a lot of things have to go right for that to happen..
But yeah, if they stink it up on offense again....Kids might start looking elsewhere, unless they're from So. Fla...

No hate, but I don't see what Debose see's in that Miami O, as of this moment. Next year will be a big year for Miami. And the Noles.

Some of these kids need to see productive seasons or they will look elsewhere....

It's a wrap for USC's BCS chances...

http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/...ock-itch-outbreak?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=24
It's not as serious as, say, starting quarterback Mark Sanchez's dislocated kneecap, but the USC Trojans are suffering a new rash of injuries.
Emphasis on rash.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, as much as 25% of the team has been affected by a run of tinea cruris, known more colloquially as "jock itch."

Head coach Pete Carroll told the Times he'd never seen anything like the current outbreak and pointed a finger at new compression shorts the team has been wearing underneath their football pants.

"We've had to adjust to some new equipment that we're wearing that didn't work out right," Carroll said. "It's funny how that happened."

You'll forgive tailback Joe McKnight and wide receiver Travon Patterson if they aren't laughing. Both were unable to practice Wednesday because of the severity of the irritation.

"It burns," Patterson said.

"Sometimes they can't walk," said tailback Stafon Johnson. "I don't know what it is, but I'm staying away from it."
