And this is the bigger issue her. This is a show of power. Stern does not want the player dictating where they go, he was upset by the whole Miami thing, and now he showing that this is a owners league and they'll have the say on which player goes where.

+%# are we supposed to do with Khloe and Gasol (who's mentally soft already) now?

So this could happen if the NBA didn't own the Hornets?

In the end its the players making the owners and the league money

so stern doesn't want CP3 to dictate where he wants to go, yet they dictate where he can't go?

Pretty much. Dude owns the team though, he can do whatever he wants.

So if they can deny the trade of CP3 to LA. Do you think they will deny any trade of CP3 to any big market teams?

So $%% does this mean then? LA, NY, Chicago can't get any star players via trade? What are they gonna do with CP3 then? trade him to @+!#!#* Indiana?

The initial reasoning that they didn't want CP3 going to a star studded Lakers team is BS. Lakers were losing 2 of their 3 biggest stars in this deal, and it's not like the hornets weren't getting anything in return.

This #%*% is ugly.

& #$++ are the lakers gonna do with Pau and Odom? how they gonna play for the Lakers now?

Lakers & hornets need to renegotiate a deal where hornets aren't taking so much salary, if that's what they really were concerned with.

Yes that is a very integral part of this, but it doesn't change the fact that the other owners initiated this, and the only reason Stern would do this is because he doesn't want to have Chris Paul say I'm through with the Hornets, bring on a big city.
This trade is probably the best trade the Hornets could have gotten for CP3. They would have gotten Odom, Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and Goran Dragic.

Now Paul is forced to say with the Hornets and if this is anything to go by, won't get traded to a big market, won't get traded to a small market because he won't resign, and he'll become a free agent.

I am a Laker fan so I will probably sound biased...but the fact that this happened how it happened should disturb everybody not just Laker fans

We could all see this with the fiasco known as the lockout...the owners are going for complete control of everything...how can you not like if a player wants to dictate where they want to go?! I dont care what the reason is because we are getting all kinds of bs reasons when everyone knows what this about. If this was the case $tern could have taken these measures before the deal finalized and went public...this shows you that the owners dont see the players as anything more as pieces that move when they want....all about control

So you trade him to a team and rape them of their assets and then he doesnt resign then signs with a big market at years end, all you done is robbed Peter to Paul.

You've solved NOTHING. Exactly what i stated during the lockout.
