Damn he's gotta be athletic af to play fullback at 6'7
Fwiw most nba players are over that height and track nearly the same amount of minutes running. The avg nba court is slightly smaller than the length of a pl soccer field so itms not out of the realm of seeing a tall beast kick footy

Ummm yea no. An NBA court is about a quarter of the length of a soccer field. About 400m² compared to about 8,000m². They're not slightly different by any measure.

The endurance demands of each sport are completely different and impossible to compare. In soccer the areas where taller athletes really start to lose out athletically in their ability to compete is in agility and quickness. Mobility becomes an issue fast for average people, even at the 6'1 - 6'2 mark.

Then there's the dexterity required to use your feet effectively at that level. It's just rarely physically possible for guys 6'4+.

It's the most popular sport in the world and yet you can probably count the all time number of pro players 6'5+ on your hands and feet.

Outlier height just isn't a trait conducive to the demands of the game.

 I was just about to type up a whole response. Glad you covered it. Yeah a basketball court is nowhere close to the size of a football pitch. It's pretty much a football field vs a basketball court. The size difference is massive in width and length (pause)

NBA court size (94 ft x 50 ft) ~ (31 yd x 16.6 yd)
Manchester united pitch size (114.8 yd × 74.4 yd)

Outside of now you would generally get 4 nba games a week as opposed to 1 game of footy. That’s what I was accounting for. It’s been tracked that nba players can run up to 6 miles in a 48 minute game not including overtime. There are tons of players over 6’5 that clock “iron man” minutes with no issues. That’s the point im trying to make
