does he get a pass for the 2 previous years when they are killed by injuries?

Brooks is a fine coach IMO. Can do much worse than him.

But you see it all the time in the NFL. A coach of a 2-12 team will be on the hot seat then they'll win their last two games & the GM will say something like "We like how the team rallied around him" while completely ignoring the previous 14 games.

The play in game should have no impact on whether he comes back or not.

the Nets and that Heat team are two completely different situations. The Heat didn't have three of the highest usage players in NBA history & the heat's three were significantly better players on Defense.

If everything Clicks they should get to the finals but they have some real big issues to deal with & they have the players to matchup. Just don't trust their scary *** coach

Are the people running the Wizards looking at that roster and saying "Damn Brooks should've gotten a hell of a lot more outta these guys?" ... If they are, they're fools.

Firing Budenholzer and Stotts feels like seeking out a change for the sake of making a change... You're at least as likely to hire someone significantly worse as you are to find even a marginal upgrade.

Didn't Malcolm Brogdon have beef w/ Nate McMillan too?

Scott Brooks has been in DC since 2016...and has been on the hot seat since 2018. His job security wasn't strong to begin with.

They came within one game of the ECF in his first year. Lost in the first round as an 8 seed the next and that year was the start of John Wall's breakdown and they haven't been in the playoffs in the last 2. That's why this "rejuvenation" ****** are trying to pretend like is happening with that team is funny right now.

None of LeBron, Wade or Bosh missed significant time that 1st Heatles season, as I recall. That’s makes to the two situations fairly different.

And those Heat teams didn’t have to deal with anyone in the East as good as the Bucks and Sixers are.
Chicago and Boston weren’t good? We not doing this

Other than Beal and westbrook I couldn’t tell you another player on the wizards

Has there ever been a good bald white nba coach? Or bald nba coach in general?

edit: Monty Williams is bald so gotta stick with white and bald.

Well he played against them in January and they only won by 2 after a clutch KD 3 late...
Kyrie didn’t play in that one. Which is part of the concern here  Ideally in year 1 your core is playing together as often as possible building chemistry. Like I don’t think that 2010 C’s run happens if that was their first year together.

And then hamstring injuries are so easy to aggravate, especially in the playoffs when you’re not gonna sit a game just because it’s sore. You’re pretty much playing until you tear it like Chris Paul. So who knows if Harden will even be able to finish the run.

Just KD & Ky would be enough if they were a better team defensively but they’re not.

It’s Wednesday but Happy Cinco de Mayo fellas :nthat:

I wonder how many people realize that the bucks actually have the highest scoring offense this season to go along with a top 7 defense. Probably the most complete team they've had the past 3 years but they were left for dead in January. Everyone seems to have blindly accepted the hype that BK is the most unstoppable offense of all time. But I digest
