Here's the thing that most sports fans and cable news viewers don't understand: these people (Nick Wright, Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A Smith) aren't journalists, they're commentators. Some of them were journalists. Many of them have written books and and were beat writers but now they're just giving their opinions. It's no different than an op-ed in a newspaper.

As far as the sports commentators, I can’t even tell if those are their opinions or the networks. Like imagine if SAS, Max Kellerman and Perk or Skip, Shannon and Nick Wright agreed a majority of time. Someone has to do the dirty work and push the unsavory opinions to keep ratings up

Rockets fans used always post Jim’s big milestones/stats. Etc.

I get that, but as a few people like antidope , don ramon and wavycrocket have argued, the way they talk about the NBA, including dudes on networks who are NBA partners, they don’t promote the game and it’s current stars well at all. In the long run, it may ultimately hurt NBA ratings.

I definitely don't think it's good for the league at all, and with the NBA it seems like the narrative/drama stuff gets stirred up more than any other league and there is little focus on the actual game
