I don’t think all of them are reasonable though. But I agree that people go to nonsensical lengths to diminish him. No different than Bron, Harden or KD though is my point.
The difference is that THEY want Steph to get the goat level praise but not the goat level slander

I think that’s only part of it. Career arcs of those guys are so different. We’ve know about LeBron and KD since they were high schoolers. McDAA and phenoms, which just started them off at a different place.

Chris Paul doesn’t look the part. But he fits that same mold as KD and Bron. I agree that Steph is up against different challenges in that sense. He’s not a guy who we’ve been told was next since he was in HS. He broke the mold in many different ways with his rise, but I don’t think it’s entirely what you make it. It plays a part, but it isn’t completely that.

Chris Paul fits the Isiah Thomas mold. And he’s definitely “traditional”. McDonald’s all American. Etc. Got “that dog in him”. Doesn’t appear soft or anything :lol. And even he, while at his very peak was a top 3-5 player ish...wasn’t probably at the same table or had the same success as Bron or KD.

Steph actually did tho.And the way he did it, was hella unconventional. I see some similarities with the way him and Lamar Jackson are discussed actually.

That’s for another thread tho.

it’s a completely fair question to ask. imo, Steph doesn’t belong in a conversation with LeBron and KD.

In their prime and during their championship windows? Why does he not? He’s done what they’ve done. Beat them all. But somehow, there’s an unease about putting him there. Those 3 really are the guys in my opinion. And I’ve said this in here a lot...but from 2014-2020...KD/Bron/Steph were at the same level. You could debate who was the better player. But that’s the tier.

This isn’t about “all time ranking”. Cuz they 3 are in different places. But you don’t think Steph Curry was ever at the table of LeBron or KD?

freeze freeze

1. What were some precautions the building took to make sure folks were safe?

2. How many folks were allowed in?

3. Were concessions open?

It is amazing FLA is "open."

1. They had temperature screenings and you had to fill out a health survey or download the Clear app and file through that. People were super spaced out. Fans are required to be 30ft from the courts, so the first 7 rows are all covered. So I was in row 8. So out seats are open. Then the 3 seats to the left of us and right of us covered and the whole row behind us covered. Masks required unless eating or drinking. And they enforced it, reminding people to cover their nose if they got comfortable

2. Maybe about 1500 people. Had tons of people working. Way more people than necessary. Helping people keep food on the table.

3. Concessions were open and merch stores were open. Virtually no lines which was great. Got some dope tees.

Florida is fully open bro. It's crazy. We always joke stuff is open and operational because 'DeSantis is for the people' :lol. DeSantis don't gaf about science at all lolll. People have been adhering to the mask rules though and spacing for the most part.

THEY trying to put Steph in the same category as Lebron

Lebron is a top 5 player ever.

And Bistephuals wonder why they get no respect

That is not the discussion man. Yes, LeBron is a top 5 player of all time.

Over the past 6 years...Steph & KD have been right there with. It’s a simple concept. Y’all gotta do better with comprehension. I swear.

You can disagree. But do not frame the argument as something it wasn’t.

Novody questions if Bron/KD are in that class tho. They look the part. They can conceptualize them being great.

The difference is a lot of people definitely question if Steph belongs even in that convo. And it’s been like that for a minute . That’s the difference.
He's not though gotta be realistic. He's in the same class as Iverson and Melo imo. Guys who clearly aren't as complete as the top tier guys but when they have the right pieces and system around them they can perform at that level while also having elite team success. This is also why these players are usually more likeable and easy to root for imo.

:lol

That’s wsup man.

freeze freeze Didn't know Q. Rich worked with the local media down there. I guess it makes sense, he lives down there.
Yeah bro. He's been attached for a bit. I was surprised too. I know he was trying assistant coaching for a while. Was just saying doing local media for the team you played for is probably a cushy gig though. Get the team legend love. Bo Outlaw is hella attached to the team too. Very visual and active.

I like how we pick and choose who to knock for certain **** too.

how many seasons did KD have “dragging subpar teams to the playoffs”? I seem to recall half of a season that his #2 eventually returned for.

Lebron went to the finals almost 10 years straight.

He was able to sustain that level of performance over most of his career.

Lebron’s peak > Steph’s peak

Lebron’s career > Steph’s career

For all of those years of Steph’s supposed greatness he was never even able to muster up a single finals MVP

y’all tried to make Steph’s 1a to KD 1b on the Warriors when it was really KD’s 1 to Steph’s 2

In order to be in a conversation with KD and Bron you HAVE TO have a Finals MVP as a qualifier.

That’s what y’all don’t get.

Saying something as vague as “Steph changed the game” doesn’t substitute something tangible like that.

That’s how player are usually measured, by their INDIVIDUAL accolades.

You said Steph is Carmelo Iverson?

Mannnn blocked.

Infact..nah...reported. Methodical Management Methodical Management I don't have time for this on this beautiful Saturday.

Iverson and Melo never won anything...I love those guys but it's rude as hell to say Steph is only on their tier when he's not, he's clearly better than them both

Both came close as soon as they had even a semblance of the right pieces around them. Steph obviously was more fortunate in this regard. Not sure what is hard to understand about that I think yall are just looking at resumes
