Lane Kiffin: Former Raider Plundering SEC for Vols

Lane Kiffin, at age 31, became the youngest head coach in the NFL when he was hired by the Raiders Al Davis, who then fired him a year later in a highly unusual press conference.
In the six months since quickly being named head coach at the University of Tennessee, Kiffin has kept the Vols in the news, though not always for the right reasons. Wendi Nix goes behind-the-scenes to profile Tennessee's young, outspoken leader.

the perpertrator is former UT basketbakll player Ramar Smith.
Vinson may be in a *%*@ load of trouble.

"Very, very comparable to the type of talent that we brought in at USC (Southern California) and Miami," said Orgeron, who coached at both schools. "Some of the upper echelon players in the country were here."
That's saying something considering UT doesn't have the same local talent that USC and Miami enjoy.
"The staff works," Orgeron said. "(Head coach) Lane (Kiffin) thought long and hard when he hired the staff about the connections we have around the country.
"It takes a lot of work on the assistant coaches' part to get the top players to come. We were doing this back in February, working for this"
