Considering what Oregon has going for them it'd be a disappointment if they couldn't pull in a top-flite RB for this class. Zero depth at the position, coming off a top 10 finish, top 5 in the nation these last 2 years in rushing, an alum doing work in the NFL, AND southern california is loaded with RB's this year. What's the deal? edit* AND, I just remembered, those kids Clay and Grant both want to run track in college and, what do you know, UO is favored to win NCAA's next weekend. But the chances of ultimately signing either of those kids is slim, and I don't see anyone else on the radar who looks very interested. Kelly's rush attack is explosive with freaks like Stewart or Blount(or a solid RB like Johnson) but I'd be scared to see what it looked like with average talent taking handoffs.

I really like Clay, he's nice pick-up for OU. You guys will be fine, CA is stacked with RB this year.
My understanding is that he still have Oregon at the top of his list...

Grant's committed, but still looking

Ethan Grant gave Oregon his verbal commitment early in the process, but that has not stopped schools from recruiting and he is still looking. He camped at Tennessee last week and they are one of the schools still on his list. Get the latest on this Sunshine State back here.

"I am still committed to Oregon, but I am open at the same time," said Ethan Grant.
"Right now I have a top five and they are Oregon, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, and Tennessee in that order. I still like Oregon a lot, but I have to look at my other options too. I have over 20 offers, so I want to make sure of everything."

One school had their chance to shine last week and they did just that.

"The camp at Tennessee was a good experience and I liked the competition. They made the camp exciting and I really like the coaching staff at Tennessee. That helped them get into my top five."

The number two school on Grant's list will be getting a visit as will the school he lists at number four.

"I am going out to visit Ole Miss and then Mississippi State later in June and I think I am going to be visiting Minnesota soon too. I want to see what the coaches are like, how I feel on their campus, and things like that."

Over 20 schools have offered the 5-foot-9, 170 pound back out of Coconut Creek, Fla. - North Broward Prep and he has one school on top, but will that be the school he signs with in February?

"Oregon is on top, but nothing will be official until signing day," he said. "I am going to take some visits and see what all the schools have to offer before making that final decision."
I appreciate his honesty in the process. Of course as fans we always want these kids to go to the schools we cheer and root on, but this is their lifein the balance. He's being open, honest, and true to himself. I prefer this as opposed to the saga that was Bryce Brown. Good for Ethan.

I'm not too good with track numbers, so is a 21.19 in the 200 good?

One of A&M's future receivers has been running that, so I'm just trying to figure out just how fast that is...

^ Word is Cody Riggs is now looking to stay in-state. Esp. since he got his UF offer.

Man, their class is gonna be sick, sick, sick this year.

Jeez.

I think a lota ND targets are just waiting to see what happens on the field this year.

can't sell kids on rebuilding the program or immediate playing time anymore. Need results.

No just the circus that revolved around him was ridiculous at the end of the whole thing. Personal assistants or whatever, CFL talk...it was justreally overly-crazy IMO. In no way am I saying this via fan bias. I still cheer for Terrelle Pryor and other players that I've followed through the yearson recruiting websites, Oregon commits or not.
