And Actually ur wrong.thinkin no one is evaluating talent. Maybe that's how Coker n the UM staff did work but that's not how its goin down in knoxville. There's a reason they have the largest recruitin budget in America
Da hell u on?
Kiffin and staff aren't just looking at rival rankings, they are doing way more homework then ur giving them credit for. My dude who gives me all my info WORKS for Coach O, all he does is watch film and review it wit Ed, that's all he does...
UTK is offering like crazy cus there's no proven elite talent at Tennessee rite now.
None.
And its obvious.
if u think those offer will hurt UT's recruiting ur heads up ur *%$. These dudes have been on TV all off season.
And have done Nothhing on the field.

Boston College quarterback Dominique Davis has decided to transfer after he was suspended by the university for academic reasons, the school announced Tuesday.
The move leaves the Eagles without any quarterbacks who have thrown a pass at the Football Bowl Subdivision level. Both Justin Tuggle, a redshirt freshman, and Codi Boek, a junior who transferred last year from American River Junior College after starting his career in 2006 at Idaho State, were competing with Davis for the starting job this spring.
Davis was the only one who had starting experience; he took over against Wake Forest last year for injured starter Chris Crane.
Davis led the Eagles to an impressive come-from-behind win against the Demon Deacons in the final minute, and helped Boston College advance to the ACC championship game with a win against Maryland in the regular-season finale. He struggled, though, in the ACC title game and the Music City Bowl.
As a redshirt freshman last season, Davis completed 63-of-138 passes for 741 yards and six touchdowns, throwing four interceptions. Davis has not decided where he will transfer.
First-year coach Frank Spaziani now must turn to Tuggle and Boek, who was a fullback last year but returned to his original position this spring. Former coach Jeff Jagodzinski and the previous staff had high expectations for Tuggle, whose father, Jessie, played 14 seasons in the NFL and was selected to five Pro Bowls.
None of the quarterbacks, though, distinguished himself this spring. The arrival of true freshman Michael Marscovetra will help the position's depth.
It's been a tough offseason for BC, as the program learned last month that star linebacker and ACC Defensive Player of the Year Mark Herzlich was diagnosed with cancer.

Kiffen and staff covering the globe
Kiffen and staff covering the globe
Well, my first article about Lane Kiffin's 187 offers caused quite a stir, soI thought I would do a follow up on what seems to be an interesting topic.
You know how touchy some college football fans can be. That's what you have to love about the college gridiron. There's so much passion in the air. College football fans will defend their teams to the end like a criminal defense attorney standing in court with a client wearing a blood soaked T-shirt. You can't tell a Gator fan that their team has had too many arrests. They will tell you why 28 is not a big number.
My pointing out that Kiffin and his staff have 187 offers out on the table was not an indictment in any way of Kiffin's method's or approach. Hell, for all I know, putting a bunch of offers out there may turn out to be a winning strategy. I am not saying that it's right or wrong, I am merely pointing out that it's a high number. Only time will tell if Kiffin's methods are right. I do know one thing, if Kiffin's objective was to return Tennessee football to the stream of consciousness of college football fans then he landed that dart in the red circle. I think all of America outside of the Knoxville are watching his regime like two speeding trains heading towards each other on the same track. They want to know if there will be a crash or if one of those trains will find another track and successfully avoid disaster.
As far as the number of offers are concerned, it's high Vol fans and that's a fact. If you are from Knoxville and want to draw attention to something, you can take solace in the following fact: Scout.com has Tennessee only listed for 114 offers (a number that can change on a daily basis). Where does this stand against other schools? I checked it against the Top 10 teams in last year's final BCS poll as well as some other notable schools and programs that I personally know have been very busy this offseason. Going by Scout's numbers, the closest team to Tennessee is Alabama which has 90 offers out there followed closely by their nemesis and SEC combatant Florida (86) and West Virginia (86). This means that Tennessee has 24 more offers out there than the next closest team (or at least one that I could find). That's an entire signing class ahead of the next team. Is it a good or bad strategy? Again, I don't know but it's both note and newsworthy which is what Kiffin's master plan has been since he landed in Knoxville. Some think the old man in Oakland rubbed off on Kiffin more than he may want to let on. Let's hope his results are different than that of the Raiders' over the last few years.

The University of Tennessee got a big boost along the defensive front on Wednesday when defensive tackle John Brown committed to the Volunteers. Brown, 6-2 and 285 pounds, is a former high school All-American that was previously at Florida...
"I want to get to the league, Tennessee is the best way for me to get there," brown was quoted as saying. "I'm going to have to learn how to sing 'rocky top,' because we will be singing it a lot over the next couple of years."
Former Gator John Brown headed to Mississippi junior college
John Brown, the former Gator who was ranked the nation's third-best defensive tackle coming out of Lakeland High, will play football this fall at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Brown, who was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2007, was plagued by eligibility problems and injuries during his tenure with the Gators. He received a redshirt in 2007 and didn't see any action, then was used sparingly last season.
Northeast Mississippi coach Ricky Smither said Brown had no hard feelings against Florida, but was looking for a fresh start. He will play defensive tackle. And because he is not trying to play for a chance to join any one specific college, Brown will most likely have an open recruitment when his one year at Northest is completed.
