The talent difference is not as much as I think??? Ha, look at the type of players Florida gets vs. Florida State's players:
Since 2006, Florida has loaded up with 39 players ranked in the ESPNU150 (first of any school) ... FSU has 14. Just to put this into perspective, USC is second with 33 and they have nobody to recruit against west of Oklahoma.
Fact is, Florida is SO stacked the recruits are scared they may never play. Even considering this, Florida will still end up with a recruiting class ranked in the top 3. FSU will teeter arond 10-12 as usual.
rankings isnt everything man....hell sean taylor was a 2 starOriginally Posted by GTownBaller23

Lol Hata in the house. Only reason these recruits (Gred Reid, Nick Kasa, etc) are not going to Gville is because we are already so LOADED with talent that they are afraid they may never play. At FSU or UT, these guys would be the best player on the team offense this year. How many five star receivers does FSU and UT have over the past five years. None. Florida has a boat load. With that said, Keese will probably goto UT and Debose will probably stick with the Gators. Keese would probably redshirt at Florida, Debose would definitely play his first year.Originally Posted by jville819

Word to jville, this is why FSU is not on the same level as Florida like they used to be. You guys (for the most part) just take the scraps we don't want, or the players too scared to come to UF.

The troubled career of Florida State receiver Preston Parker took another sour turn early Saturday morning when he was charged with DUI first offense.
Parker, who was allowed back onto the team last summer after an April arrest on gun and drug charges, allegedly was found asleep behind the wheel of his red Dodge Charger in the drive-through lane of a fast-food restaurant.
Following is the text of a release from Tallahassee Police:
Last night at approximately 4:42AM the Tallahassee Police Department responded to the McDonald's at 672 W. Tennessee Street in reference to a report that a male was "passed-out" behind the wheel of his car. Upon arrival, the officer observed a red Dodge Charger in the drive-thru line at the restaurant. A witnessed stated that the car had been stopped there for approximately twenty minutes. There were no other cars behind or in front of the Dodge Charger.
Once the officer approached the car he could see that the engine was running, the car was in drive and the male was asleep behind the steering wheel. The officer made several attempts to wake the driver by banging on the window. Eventually the driver woke, took his foot off the brake pedal and the car began to travel forward. The officer yelled to the driver and was finally able to get him to stop the car.
During the course of the investigation officers suspected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver agreed to conduct field sobriety exercises and at the conclusion of the investigation the driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. Once at the Leon County Jail the driver submitted to a breath test and a urine sample. The breath test resulted in a .054 blood alcohol content. The urine sample was presumptive positive for marijuana. The driver admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana that night. The driver was charged with D.U.I. first offense. During the investigation it was determined that the arrestee is a Florida State University football player.

How can you call him overrated then in the next sentence say that people are being way to critical?Originally Posted by dreClark

Kid is overrated, but to his defense, he's played center field all season long. Next season he'll play closer to the line.
Not many schools went deep across the middle against SC.
He's overrated, but guys on here are being way too critical.

Why WOULDN'T people be critical of a player who may not necessarily be living up to his billing.
I don't think there's anyone who called him a flat out bum, or anything like that

Keep drinking the Gatorade.
I'll stick to my Seminole Firewater.
(And FTR, UF's talent is sick. Except for @ WR. And possibly DT)
And don't put TOO much Stock into the Gatorade NOPY +!%%...I mean hell, I think Kyle Wright was one too.
I was gonna make a joke about how an FSU WR could always get hooked up with a job at Dillard's, but...#+%@, they ain't hiring.Originally Posted by dreClark

And he's kicked off the team.
Uhhhh....Torrey Davis can barely stay eligible/out of trouble and Patchan is injury prone. You can't really depend on either of them to bethere all season. Gary Brown is a beast though. When you have ?'s at a position, I would hardly call that 'Stacked'.Originally Posted by GTownBaller23
We are definitely stacked at DT. As for DT, we got both starters coming back next year, Sanders and Marsh - who probably won't start next year. Awaiting are Omar Hunter, Torrey Davis, and Matt Patchan. Plus we got Gary Brown coming in.
WR maybe not stacked, but we'll be fine. We'll have Cooper, Hernandez, Richardson, Thompson, Moore, and Debose
Y'all will be depending heavily on a frosh. The loss of Percy is gonna HURT. Y'all still will be potent though, but still. That WR coreain't scaring nobody. Moore and Thompson have done what?
Rankings for hs players may not mean everything, but a team full of 5 star players will beat a team full of 3 and 4 star players any day.
Like Boise and Oklahoma, right? Or how about a team like Wake Forest. Or Ole Miss? Or Oregon State? Need I go on?
1. Taylor Mays is not on the same level as Eric Berry. That is a factual statement, any slightly knowledgeable CFB head can tell you that.Originally Posted by Thugnificence

It's one thing to call a kid overrated and another to say he's "incredibly overrated" and "not on the same planet as Eric Berry". At the end of the day, TM is still a fringe top 5 safety. Kid was playing elite-level towards the end of last season.
