McKnight did keep us in some of the games. Seems like he was the offense at times. The end of the Ohio State game was all him.

Bates might follow Shanahan if he gets another gig in the NFL.

That's not even the whole thing. I saw more on ESPN last night.

edit - Just saw that other thread w/ this in there. #%#@ it though.

Boo Boo was hurt all year, they said he couldn't lift his hand over his shoulder. Then his worst injury happened and his brain blew up.

Bouba had no work ethic. Thought he was a gift to the CB position. Got his reality check but never believed it to be true. Oh well. Kid had talent but neverwanted to listen. If he gets a felony burglary charge or assault I am sure Michigan St will offer him a spot on the team. He better have a ski mask tho.
Whispers: Latest on available Rivals100 stars
With the recent commitments of Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Treasure Coast linebacker Jeff Luc and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Thomas Aquinas cornerback LaMarcus Joyner to Florida State, two more Rivals100 prospects are off theboard.

spacer1.gif

Could USC be adding another five-star back to its roster in Lache Seastrunk?

Still, heading into the dead period, there are 31 players in the top 100 who haven't committed and a few others who are committedbut still looking.
OL Seantrel Henderson of St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-DerhamHall: Henderson was high on Notre Dame after his official visit, but the Irish have faded. Notre Dame could get back in it, but that won't happenuntil a new coach is hired. Right now, Ohio State seems to be the team to beat, with USC the biggest threat.

RB Lache Seastrunk of Temple (Texas) High: LSUjust took a commitment from running back Alfred Blue of Boutte(La.) Hahnville, so either the Tigers are backing off Seastrunk or they know they are fading. This is good news for USC, as numerous sources say the Trojansare the team to beat.

DE Ronald Powell of Moreno Valley (Calif.) RanchoVerde: Florida is the team to beat, with USC the biggest threat. USC wants him as a linebacker, something Powell doesn't seem too keen on. Untilhe commits to the Gators, the Trojans will be lurking.

DE Jackson Jeffcoat of Plano (Texas) PlanoWest: Until we hear otherwise - and I don't expect we will - Texas is the team to beat, followed by USC. Confidence is high in Austin.

RB Marcus Lattimore of Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes:Lattimore wants to take official visits to Oregon, North Carolina and Georgia and he's already been to Auburn and Penn State, but South Carolina is theteam to beat. Lattimore has a high comfort level in Columbia and many ties to the university. Rumor has it that he could switch his last official visit fromGeorgia to South Carolina, which basically would end this process.

DT Sharrif Floyd of Philadelphia GeorgeWashington: If Floyd decides to wait until after the Christmas break to make his decision, South Carolina, Penn State and Rutgers could get into themix. But if he decides at the U.S. Army Game, Ohio State is the team to beat over Florida. North Carolina could get an official right before the break andcould become a factor.

LB Jordan Hicks of West Chester (Ohio) LakotaWest: Hicks already has been to Ohio State and Texas, but his visit this weekend to Florida is the big one. The Gators long have been considered theteam to beat and a great visit could push them over the top, especially with Luc off the board.

spacer1.gif

Chris Martin is down to Florida, Oklahoma, USC and California.

DE Chris Martin of Aurora(Colo.) Grandview: Now that Notre Dame is out of it, Martin is down to Florida, Oklahoma, USC and California. Martin is hard to gauge, but sources sayhe loved his visit to Florida and that the Gators are the team to beat. But watch out for Oklahoma here.
DB Latwan Anderson of Cleveland Glenville:Publicly, he says West Virginia is the team to beat, but if he clears admissions at Ohio State, he is a Buckeye all the way. Anderson visits Ohio State thisweekend. Cincinnati is in the mix as well, but if Brian Kelly leaves, the Bearcatswill fall out of the chase.

DE J.R. Ferguson of Chatham (Va.) Hargrave MilitaryAcademy: LSU is the team to beat right now, but Ferguson has taken just two official visits: one to Baton Rouge and one to Notre Dame. He visits Calthis weekend and is considering official visits to Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma and UCLA, among others. The coaching changes inTallahassee will help FSU, his ties to Miami are big and he has teammates at Hargrave pushing for UNC.

DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa of Portland (Ore.)Douglas: Cal has been the team to beat, but watch out for Oregon. If he chooses a program other than one of these two, it would be a surprise.

WR Darius White of Fort Worth (Texas) Dunbar:Confidence is high at Texas, and if White doesn't take his official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, he's expected to be a Longhorn around Christmas. But if he does take his official to OU this weekend, I expect him to be a Sooner in one of the closest recruiting battles this year.

DE Gabe King of Eugne (Ore.) South Eugene:There was a rumor King was close to committing to USC after a great official visit in late November, and there also have been rumors that he is a heavy lean toCal. But many of the schools recruiting him are certain he's headed to Oregon, and I would be stunned if he ended up as anything but a Duck.

ATH Anthony Barr of Los Angeles Loyola: Barrwanted to decide in December, but that doesn't look as if it will happen because of the coaching change at Notre Dame. His official visit to UCLA is setfor the middle of January and he wants to take it, but Notre Dame still has a huge edge here because of family connections.

WR Ivan McCartney of Miramar (Fla.) High: Manyschools are pushing hard, but West Virginia remains the team to beat until McCartney says differently. With two former Miramar teammates at WVU and his prepcoach being a Mountaineers alum, WVU has numerous advantages. Florida would be the one school that West Virginia needs to worry about with McCartney.

LB Christian Jones of Casselberry (Fla.) LakeHowell: Now that Jimbo Fisher officially is the coach at Florida State, sources say the Seminoles again are the team to beat. But he's certainly not the FSU lock he was during the summer. Tennessee has impressed him and Miamiremains high on his list. But once FSU names a defensive coordinator and a few more guys commit to the Seminoles, Jones could make a decision. His relationshipwith his recruiter, Rick Trickett, is outstanding.

spacer1.gif

Is Chaz Green Tennessee bound?

OL Chaz Green of TampaCatholic: Tennessee is a near lock for Green's services. Green visits Florida this weekend and the Gators are the biggest threat to the Vols.
S Tony Jefferson of Chula Vista (Calif.)Eastlake: Jefferson has made previous commitments to Stanford and UCLA. He has visited Oklahoma, Michigan and USC. He will make his decision Dec. 18and most signs point to the Sooners. USC is the biggest threat.

DT George Uko of Chino (Calif.) Don Lugo: Ukoknows one thing - he's going to be playing in L.A. in college. Whether it's UCLA or USC is the question. Right now, things look good for the Trojans. He will announce at the Under Armour Game in January.

OL Matt James of Cincinnati St. Xavier: Jamesis hard to read, but his list has been a small one for a while. While James lists Florida, the Gators are a big-time long shot for his services, and thisshould come down to Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Ohio State. With Notre Dame searching for a coach and Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly a candidate for the Irish job, many things could happen. If Kelly gets the NDjob, look for James to end up in South Bend. If not, I expect him to land in Columbus.

ATH Christian Green of Tampa Catholic: Greenhas a big visit this weekend to Florida that could determine where he ends up. Georgia is his public leader, but sources say Florida is confident and could bethe team to beat. Florida State cannot be counted out now that the coaching situation has been cleared up. Green has numerous ties to FSU and the Seminoleswere his early favorite.

CB John Fulton of Manning (S.C.) High: Fultonlists his final three as South Carolina, Alabama and Florida, but this is a battle between the Gamecocks and Tide and, pun intended, the tide might haveturned. Sources have said for a while that South Carolina was the team to beat, but a good visit with Nick Saban this week has made this tougher to call. Confidence is much higher on theAlabama side of things now.

WR Chris Dunkley of Pahokee (Fla.) High:Dunkley long has been considered a silent commitment to Florida, and nothing I've heard changes that. Tennessee is out, so Alabama is the biggest threat tothe Gators, but it's unlikely he ends up anywhere except Gainesville.

TE Christian Thomas of Palmdale (Calif.)Highland: If USC wants Thomas, then he likely will be a Trojan. But there have been some academic questions and it's unclear whether USC willstick with him; tight end is not a priority for USC with XavierGrimble and Randall Telfer already on board. If it's notUSC, watch out for Miami and possibly Oregon.

DE Corey Lemonier of Hialeah (Fla.) High:Originally, he loved Florida State and Illinois, then Tennessee and Miami came on strong. Now, it's hard to tell what he is thinking. Teammate/friendCalvin Smith just committed to the Vols, which certainly helpstheir cause. But a lot of people think the duo will split up and that Lemonier will head to FSU or Miami in the end.

DB Terrence Mitchell of Tampa Hillsborough:Mitchell talks more than Lemonier about favorites, but he also likes almost every school he visits. Hometown USF is his destination this weekend and the Bullsare a real threat because of family ties. Keep an eye out for FSU; the 'Noles once were his leader and they get his last visit. If all goes well inTallahassee, he should be an FSU commitment after that trip.

spacer1.gif

Christian Bryant is Ohio State's to lose.

DB Christian Bryant of ClevelandGlenville: It would be a shock if Bryant ends up anyplace but Ohio State. There are way too many connections between Glenville and the Buckeyes tothink otherwise.
ATH Marquis Flowers of Goodyear (Ariz.)Millennium: USC really impressed Flowers and he seems to be tiring of the process, so that could be good news for the Trojans. If he stays"home," it likely will be Arizona State. He still has visits to UCLA and Arizona, but USC will be hard to beat.

DT Ricky Heimuli of Salt Lake City Brighton:This long has been considered a battle between Utah and USC, with the Trojans the favorite. But keep an eye on Oregon. Heimuli loved his visit there and theyhave a strong tradition at defensive tackle. He wants to visit UCLA and others, but if he were to decide today, the best guess is USC.

LB C.J. Mosley of Theodore (Ala.) High: Mosleyappears to be a lock for Alabama. Auburn is the biggest threat, but it would be a stunner if Mosley ended up anyplace but Tuscaloosa.

DB Dietrich Riley of La Canada (Calif.) St.Francis: Riley has liked every school he has visited, but USC is the team to beat. I'd say Cal and Tennessee are the biggest threats, but it wouldbe a shocker if he ended up anyplace but L.A.

There also are a few Rivals100 prospects who have committed but still are looking around:

S Matt Elam of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.)Dwyer: He committed to Florida last year and the Gators have stopped recruiting safeties to keep him in the fold. Still, watch out for Florida Statehere. Eddie Gran was recruiting Elam for Tennessee and confidence was high inKnoxville that the Vols could sway him late. Now that Gran is at FSU and Jeff Luc, a friend of Elam's, has committed, keep an eye on theSeminoles.

RB Dillon Baxter of San Diego Mission Bay:Baxter took an official visit to Michigan and has expressed interest in visiting other places, but sources say he's solid to USC. He's an earlyenrollee, so the clock is ticking for everyone else.

LB Cecil Whiteside of Newport Beach (Calif.) NewportHarbor: Is Whiteside going to flip because of the strict academic standards at Cal? He has shown interest in Arizona State and USC as a backup plan incase he doesn't get admitted. This one could come down to the wire academically, and he could be the second big-time linebacker recruit to flip to ArizonaState because of academic issues (Vontaze Burfict in the 2009 class).

DT Kelcy Quarles of Greenwood (S.C.) High:He's a South Carolina commitment and will be hard to get away from the Gamecocks, but Tennessee is pushing hard. Ed Orgeron is on the case for the Vols, and he never can be counted out.

spacer1.gif

Brandon Willis is looking at taking some visits.

DE Brandon Willis of Duncan(S.C.) Byrnes: It seems unlikely Willis or his teammate/fellow Tennessee commitment Corey Miller will bolt, but Willis is looking around. He liked his visitto North Carolina and said he wants to take a few others. But he is an early enrollee, so the clock is ticking.
DT Garrison Smith of Atlanta Douglass: Smithis considered to be a solid commitment to Georgia, so it would be a big surprise if he changed his mind. But he did take an official visit to USC and anunofficial visit to Alabama, and Auburn is charging hard as well. Plus, Georgia is revamping its defensive coaching staff.

DE William Gholston of Detroit Southeastern:Gholston has been a Michigan State commitment since June, but he has been linked with Florida and Alabama recently, although he apparently hasn't taken anyother visits. Gholston has stopped doing interviews, but at the least, he's having a few second thoughts.

RB .J. Morgan of Woodland Hills (Calif.)Taft: Sources say Morgan took an official visit to Arizona State in late November, but most feel he's solid to USC, similar to Baxter.

OL Shon Coleman of Olive Branch (Miss.) High:Coleman is an Auburn commitment, but wants to take official visits to Arkansas, Miami, Tennessee and maybe one other school before deciding. He and teammateDamien Robinson might want to attend school together, which bodeswell for Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee.

DB Ahmad Dixon of Waco (Texas) Midway: Dixonis a commitment to hometown Baylor, but it appears to be 50/50 regarding whether he'll stick with the Bears. Tennessee, Auburn and Alabama are schools witha good chance at stealing him away, likely in that order.

Etc.

bullet.gif
South Carolina offensive line commitment Eric Mack might be looking at another school - Florida. The Gatorsapparently have reached out to Mack, a 6-foot-4, 315-pounder from St. Matthews (S.C.) Calhoun County, and Mack said he will visit the weekend of Jan. 23. Theonly other visit Mack will take is to South Carolina on Jan. 16. Other schools have shown interest, but Mack said he's only going to consider SouthCarolina and Florida. It looks good for the Gamecocks to keep him in the fold.

bullet.gif
Florida State has to be considered the leader forOrlando Dr. Phillips wide receiver Kenny Shaw. Shaw made asurprise move recently when he scheduled an official visit to South Carolina for Jan. 16. The Gamecocks need wide receivers, and if Shaw wants to get on thefield early, that might be an interesting spot for him. Still, it will be hard to beat FSU. Shaw is friendly with the aforementioned Christian Jones, and both were rumored to be silent Seminoles commitmentsduring the summer.
bullet.gif
Florida is the early leader for Gainesville (Ga.) East Hall defensive endSterling Bailey, a 2011 recruit who's supposed to visit theGators in either January or February. A source says Bailey is lukewarm on the home-state Bulldogs and also likes Tennessee, Georgia Tech and SouthCarolina.

bullet.gif
Sources say Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic offensive lineman Arie Kouandjio is leaning more and more toward Alabama over California. Hewill visit Cal this weekend and will make a trip to Alabama likely in January. Notre Dame had been high on his list but has faded.

bullet.gif
Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes outside linebacker Telvin Smith still considers himself a Florida State commitment - but forhow long? It appears Georgia and the Seminoles could end up swapping linebacker commitments, with Deon Rogers potentially joining prep teammate Jeff Luc at FSU and Smith switching to Georgia.

bullet.gif
Things are looking good for North Carolina with Chatham (Va.) HargraveMilitary Academy defensive tackle Josh Watson. He takes his lastofficial visit to Chapel Hill on Dec. 18 and is announcing his decision on Christmas Day. Sources say that if things go well on his visit, he will be a TarHeel. UNC also is hoping to wrap up the commitment of three-star defensive back Ed Reynolds of Woodberry (Va.) Forest School this weekend on his officialvisit before new Virginia coach Mike London gets involved. Reynolds' father isa Virginia grad, but previous coach Al Groh didn't recruit Reynolds thathard.

bullet.gif
It is expected that four-star defensive tackle Dominique Easley of Staten Island (N.Y.) Curtis will solidify hiscommitment to Penn State this weekend on his official visit. Easley took a trip to Oregon last week and loved it, but it appears to be too far from home. Duckscoach Chip Kelly is aggressively pursuing Easley and visited him this week, but itwill be tough to sway him. Meanwhile, Penn State wide receiver commitment Adrian Coxson of Baltimore City College High is taking a visit to Georgiathis weekend and also has visited Florida, but signs still point to him remaining with the Nittany Lions. West Virginia also is making a move.

bullet.gif
Pitt has to be worried about four-star defensive end commitment T.J. Clemmings of Paterson (N.J.) Paterson Catholic. He took an officialvisit to Rutgers this past weekend.

bullet.gif
Oregon could have taken the lead for defensive tackle Bjoern Werner because of Chip Kelly's connection to the coaches at theSalisbury School in Salisbury, Conn. Werner will visit Cal this weekend, the school many thought had the early edge.

Myer has already replaced him with Azzanni a WR coach from Central Michigan.

Rumored that Nix from Ole Miss turned down a $500K offer to be D Coordinator, looks like Chuck Heater will be promoted.

Some grumblings that Addazzio will step down as O Coordinator also, may bring in Mike Sanford from UNLV, he worked with Myer @ Utah.

Lots of changes coming for the Gators, Soloman Patton says he is firm to UF with Gonzos departure.

Yea Gator, Gonzalez shoulda been givin the OC job by Urban. UM knows he made a mistake now and the rumors are that Urban is forcing Addazzio out
Alvarez: Big Ten to push for 12th team
Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says the Big Ten will soon make a more aggressive push toward adding a 12th member.

Speaking to Wisconsin's athletic board on Friday, Alvarez, the former longtime Badgers football coach, said the conference already has investigated possibilities for expansion "from all over the country." And though he places no timetable on the search, Alvarez thinks Delany will respond to a group of athletic directors and coaches who want expansion.

ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg writes about all things Big Ten in his conference blog.

• Blog network:
College Football Nation

"I have a sense he is going to take this year to really be more aggressive about it," Alvarez told the board. "I just think everybody feels [expansion] is the direction to go, coaches and administrators."

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has been the most vocal advocate of a 12th Big Ten team, and he has support from several of his fellow coaches.

A 12th team would allow the Big Ten to split into divisions and hold a conference championship game. The Big Ten typically ends its football season two weeks before the other BCS conferences, though an addition of a permanent bye week in 2010 will shrink the gap by a week.

"We're irrelevant for the last three weeks of the football season because we're not playing," Alvarez said Friday.

Paterno has stumped for expansion several times, but Delany -- who was unavailable for comment -- told ESPN.com this spring that the league has no immediate plans to add a 12th team.

"There's not an obvious move," Delany said in May. "There might be to some coaches, including Coach Paterno, but it's not as obvious to the university presidents and to the athletic directors.

"There are a lot [of schools] that could take a lot away, but there aren't a lot that could bring so much to make the choice an easy one. You have to have a lot to make something go like this, and it's broader than really a championship game or a basketball tournament."

The Big Ten most recently expanded with Penn State, which began competing as a league member in football in 1993. The league has made runs at Notre Dame but hasn't had serious discussions for several years.

Adam Rittenberg covers Big Ten football for ESPN.com. He can be reached at [email protected]
-Notre Dame (unlikely to go but should be interesting to see what happens)
-Maryland (Big East will make a push for them as well).

These are schools I can see them making a push at.

Something like that, Myer was really unhappy with the Offense's inconsistency and the redzone woes. I prefer the Offensive Coordinators to be in the booth, not coaching the O Line between possessions.

Gonzalez was upset when he was passed over last year and I don't blame him. Last year he called the Redzone plays and had lots of input with Mullen. Thatdidn't happen this year, I hope he does well, just hope he doesn't sway any recruits from UF.

I can see Addazzio going back to just coaching the O Line or leaving altogether.

I'm interested to see what happens, the Offense will be drastically different without Tebow, I expect Loeffler to coach Brantley up would like to see moredownfield passing next year, Debose has to be healthy.

Big recruiting weekend hopefully we get some commits. I wouldn't be surprised if Elam goes to FSU, Gran has been recruiting him. I would tell him to lookelsewhere and get Riley if I was Urban.
