+@+%!#@ crazy

Ahhh man.

So, UF fans, y'all 100% convinced that Urbie is gonna be back?

Because man, I'm hearing s- to the contrary....and not just my silent prayers that he leaves.

This is a honest, non FSU-Biased question because of the %*@% I've read/heard lately...

Mainly concerning the fact that he's not coaching next year, is being paid a 'bonus' if you will for sticking w/ UF until NSD.

But then I also see where people say this was all just a power move by Urban to let the administration know who is really in charge and who really runs *!%$

Honestly I do believe he will be back. He gave all these kids his word that he would. Urban almost doesn't have a choice at this point. The backlash thatwould come against the school and him would be absurd. That would be a nightmare for recruiting. I really believe he loves the school to much to do that andhas too much respect for Foley and Machen.

I don't see this as being a power move, anything Urban has wanted he has got. Bernie, Urban, and Jeremy are all friends so I don't see him making apower move like that.

And supposedly Major is leaning toward the NFL and Chas is gone to the NFL as well.

Chaz Henry.......cant blame him

Wright going will open up PT for Elam and the incoming freshman not a big loss really. He was good but went for the big hit more than the ball.

I think Urban will be back. He would get so much bad press if he left after signing day. There would be lawsuits so kids could get out of their LOI.

The new hires also make me think he'll be back, Durkin will now coach ST, Drayton can take some of the recruiting load and he's familiar with thesystem.

nothing to be heard, really.

Kelly did say Barr can play offense. that was a plus for him.

offered some DB out of Texas..

Hendrix is wavering and they've talked to another qb, scotty young?

so who all has ND lost and who has pledged to stay?

I can totally see BK runnin thru like 3 QBs his first season. He gonna have to snag a a couple

maybe a last resort but why not snag the Dartmouth kid.

He has been coached up alot just from going thru the RISE TV show with all thsoe QB gurus. he ran thru drills at AA like he belonged there and in the gameBrunetti and him looked the best

2011 QB class is way better than this yrs

There's some buzz on one of the Ohio State boards about that, too...

would look like Hendrix is gone..

Hurd and Martin obviously have been gone

Shembo, Moore and Leuders look okay for now.

Gio had some mumblings around him at first but nothin since.

Gio has a shot at major playing time in that offense. he is what Isiah Pead

Nu'Keese plead guilty to that robbery charge this morning. 3 years probation, no jail time as long as he stays out of trouble...

Part of the deal requires him to stay in school. Says he's headed for Hampton, planning to play ball there, too.

What's it say on tOSU boards and Dre what have you heard about Urban?

Serious health problems?

Shed some light

I apologize. I shouldn't have said I've been hearing the exact same thing as Dre...but...

Usually when an out-of-state prospect doesn't choose Ohio State and they feel they have no chance...they'll back off and move on (i.e. LJ from thisyear). It upsets a lot of Ohio State fans...but that's the way they work.

Ohio State has absolutely not backed off Floyd...and a quote from a connected poster was that "the Urban Meyer fiasco might not be over".

It might not mean anything at all...but I do find it a little out of character b/c in the past...Floyd is a type of recruit (seems pretty sure of choice) thatthey'd use their resources elsewhere.

saying some stupid ++@% than put "potentially" behind it doesnt give it any credence.
Matt Leinart can potentially be the best left handed quarterback of all time. he was a top pick in the NFL, he won the heisman.

see how dumb that sounds.
You haven't seen me ripping a part Tate for a while where it's gotten to the point where Michigan fans say I hate the program more thanBuckeye fans?
laugh.gif

Yeah, I had a Tate avy for a little bit. Dude deserved it after the first four games...so what?
laugh.gif

Please direct me to when I said Tate was a Heisman candidate. I think you're getting me confused with someone else. I'll admit I did say at one pointhe was playing better than any true freshman because it was true.

It sounds dumb, because Leinart is already proven to be a bust. Do you want me to just drop the word "potentially" and just say *$+* like you didabout Matt Forte? (no shots)
laugh.gif

Once again, you're taking the comparison too far.
laugh.gif
I NEVERcompared DG to Pat White, or even hinted that he would be better than Pat White. I was talking about the combination.

It's been rough times being a Michigan fan lately.

...Just looking forsomething positive/trying to be optimistic.

BTW, what's the background on Newbs.

EDIT: and Dre, I was talking soley about arm strength. Nothing to do with accuracy or anything else.

Edit

Tennessee coaches are in touch with Marcoux. Working on scheduling a visit this weekend.

He's a fall back plan for us but still he Turned alotta heads

all he needed was an opportunity

Dartmouth education aint no joke tho, he's in a win/win situation

So, I guess Dunlap is officially in the draft now.
EDIT: and Dre, I was talking soley about arm strength. Nothing to do with accuracy or anything else.
What throw have you seen DG make, that Pat couldn't due to a lack of Arm Strength?

He won't be missed too much...

As for Urban I don't see anyway he doesn't come and coach next season, like everyone has already said it'd be a PR nightmare and a slap in the faceto all those kids he's apparently promised a lot to and subsequently going to get them to sign to play in Gator Country.

What exactly have you been hearing dre, like specifics cause my boy is on the team and he and everyone else that's returning fully believes that Urban willbe on the sidelines to start next season. Hell he was supposed to have been started his LOA but he's still griding hard out here.

Adrian Coxson may be a Gator soon.....he was a PSU commit.

The Christian Jones thread on VolNation has some good stuff.........says Meyer had an affair with a 23 year old grad student
laugh.gif
.....maybe Urbs pulled a PeteCarroll smashing a Grad Student.

The Christian Jones thread on VolNation has some good stuff
LV, Sab, MattPrehm, HialeahGator, & respectfulGator ( and of course me) are good info guys ... the other stuff is homerism and craziness.

Smart staying at Alabama as I figured.
Come on down to Knoxville Mr. Robey

Xavier Grimble, the tight end prospect from Bishop Gorman, will take an official visit to UCLA this weekend, according to good sources close to the recruitment.
The bigger news from those same sources: UCLA is now Grimble's leader.

The 6-5, 245-pound Grimble, who is ranked the #1 tight end prospect in the nation by Scout.com, is verbally committed to USC. The recent news of Pete Carroll's departure from USC has opened up Grimble's recruitment, according to sources, and UCLA, which was a school he liked early on, now has re-emerged.

This weekend is UCLA's biggest recruiting weekend, with many committed and un-committed players taking their official visits

seal the deal rick

Everything coming outta the A&M camp is they're zeroed in on three guys for DC... Justin Wilcox, Tim DeRuyter, and kinda out of left field Steve Brownat Kentucky...

Still wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being Bennett, but it sounds as though he left Pitt simply because he wanted to be back in Texas and would takea lesser position at A&M just to be back home...

Wilcox or DeRuyter with Bennett as a position coach would be a MASSIVE upgrade... And it sounds like they're going to interview TTU's former specialteams coach for the same position later in the week, too...

Sorry if posted...but if you want to see the National Championship Trophy...head to the nearest Wal-Mart in Alabama...
laugh.gif
Walmarts to host Bama's BCS trophy
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama is going to display its new nationalchampionship football trophy at a place where most anyone can see it: Walmart.

The school says the Coaches' Trophy will be on display at a Walmart Supercenter in Tuscaloosa on Saturday and another Walmart store in Gardendale onSunday.

Fans will be able to get their picture taken with the actual Coaches' Trophy that was presented after the BCS win over Texas. The $30,000 trophy istopped with a football made of Waterford Crystal.

The school will permanently display the trophy on campus. The Walmart stops are part of a sponsorship deal.

How ironic... my buddy from Alabama called me from after the game talking about how everyone was so hype in Tuscaloosa. He said they went into Wal-Mart andpeople were rolling watermelons down the aisles.
