Rumor has it Rambis may land the coaching job in Minnesota... I've always liked Brian Shaw but experience counts.

Can I add a name to the possible mix if the Lakers due look for a new coach next year.
Even though he is not with the Lakers organization, I believe Avery Johnson should be a second chance.

Lakers win the title again this year, Kobe becomes player/coach for the remainder of his career

The Grizzlies have rescinded their $3 million qualifying offer to Hakim Warrick, giving them more flexibility on the free-agent market.
If we are considering Sheldon, I think we should look into Warrick too.

come on now the mavs, warriors? i dont think so and denver depends on what day, for a season i would rather take ours without LO. still..

warriors may not be a good team but without odom, they have a better bench than us

cj watson, maggette, turiaf, morrow, branded wright, randolph(depends if he starts), bellinelli, curry (depending if he starts)

they have a good bench, but just cause they are not a good team dont mean their bench automatically sucks...

Nuggets - jr smith, chris anderson, kleiza, ty lawson...that alone is better than our bench without odom.
blazers - outlaw, blake, bayless, pryzbilla, fernandez

what im trying to say is...we are going to heavily rely on our starters...yes our starters is good..but i dont know how many times when we lose games and weblame it on the laker bench for not showing up.

In other free agent news there's no progressionon Miami's pursuit of Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom, but Odom, a free agent, has resumed talks with the Lakers. Negotiationsaren't expected to be prolonged. Palm Beach Post
Sources: Odom leaning toward signing with Heat
More From Adrian Wojnarowski

Lamar Odom(notes) is leaning strongly toward accepting the Miami Heat's contract offer and leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, multiple sources with knowledge of the talks said.

Odom has not reached a final decision, the sources said, but there is growing belief he will ultimately return to Heat unless the Lakers improve their current offer.

"It's close, but it's not done," said one source.

Lakers officials and Odom's representatives resumed talking after a weeklong standoff that began when Jerry Buss, the team's owner, withdrew a four-year, $36 million offer that guaranteed $30 million. Sources close to Odom said that while the two sides have since talked, Buss is now offering less than the Lakers' previous proposal.

Odom could sign a five-year, $34 million with the Heat that would give him the option to become a free agent in three seasons and seek a more lucrative deal. He also would not have to pay state income tax in Florida.

Odom, 30, played for the Heat during the 2003-04 season - the only season in his 10-year career that he didn't spend in Los Angeles - and has maintained a good relationship with Dwyane Wade(notes).

Odom's departure would be a huge loss for the Lakers and an unexpected gift for the Western Conference's other top contenders. He averaged 11.4 points and 8.2 rebounds last season, and played well during the Lakers' run to the championship despite being bothered by back spasms. The Lakers replaced Trevor Ariza(notes) with Ron Artest(notes) this summer, but Odom's length and versatility made him a difficult matchup off the bench for opposing teams.

If Lamar leaves the Lakers for the Heat for roughly the same amount of money that was offered then he is a complete moron and goes back to being lamar odumb. Leaving a championship team for a mediocre team with a superstar who could possibly leave next year.

--so is odom gonna wear the same jersey number he did when he was in miami before?
