The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guard Sun Yue, it was announced on Friday.
"With the talent level and depth of our roster, the situation simply doesn't provide an opportunity for Sun Yue to get the chance to play that he deserves," said General Manager Mitch Kupchak. "We feel it is in Sun's best interests to be able to go to a team where he can get the minutes to play and showcase his considerable talents. We appreciate Sun's contributions to last season's championship team, and wish him the best of luck with the rest of his career."
"I want to thank Sun Yue for his professionalism and for the contributions he made to our team last season," said Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson.

I think Artest is better then Ariza. A lot of Ariza's baskets were WIDE open 3's cause of the attention Kobe abd Pau got. Just think of how open Artestis gonna be and how many easy baskets he will get. I bet his FG% will be around 45-50% this season. Plus he's a better passer then Ariza too, so he willcreate easy shots for other players. We have on paper the best passing team in the NBA. I would like to see Artest lose 15 pounds this season and get some ofthat quickness back along with playing above the rim a little more. But Carmelo, LeBron and Pierce won't be able to post Artest up like they did Ariza..Just thinking of this team on the court next season is like Christmas in July. We have 5 players who can post up, Kobe, Artest, Pau, Bynum and Odom... thisteam is ridiculous!! They better try to win every game and shoot for 70 wins..

we have enough point guards at the moment. We currently have 3, I'd rather keep 2 young point guards than spending $ on a veteran.

we have a 78 year old starting point guard, guard who had 20 good minutes in a 4 yr career and who even knows if he can play point and jordan farmar
