White and green is so much CLEANER and less #+@# than purple and yellow
Who, and what in the @#$% are you? No joke, but are you "special" or anything, cuz I don't want to pick on someone with special needs, but you sir, are not smart. Point blank.
What Celtic should I bring up that is the long standing face of a successful Boston franchise? Paul Pierce? The same dude that was on a 20 win team? KG, who been on the squad all of 2 years? Same with Ray Ray. None of those dudes are synonomous with winning tradition in Boston, especially since Boston Celtic Basketball was CRAP for 20 years fool.
And since you want me to speak on NBA history, here ya go junior. The Celts won almost all of their NBA titles when there were TEN teams in the league and only one round per playoff season. Since the league has expanded and become much more balanced and competitive, they have won exactly FOUR titles in the last 33 years. Four.
4
Thas it.
Meanwhile, the Lakers who won 5 of the first 6 titles in that early easier time to win, also won a title in the 70's after expansion started, then 5 in the 80's and now 4 more in the new era. Do you want to grab a calculator real quick and add all that up?
So Celtics don't own @#$%, they own the 60's and that's it, NOTHING more then that. This will be our second decade of dominance in the last 3, so tell me, who OWNS what?
Red won during the easy era. Phil had a 3 peat, tore down and rebuilt the squad, had another 3 peat, then switched teams, and had ANOTHER 3 peat, tore down and re-built the squad again, and now has yet another title. With more on the way.
Red built one team, won 9 titles with the exact same core and group in an era with 10 measley teams, and now he's been surpassed.
So tell me, how was my history lesson for you? Did you learn anything? Next time you want me to teach you something, just send me a PM, I'd be more then happy to hold your hand while you put on your helmet for that lil bus ride you make every morning.

city wise it's no contest, NY beats Boston.....Bean's a baby NY point blank everyone knows it, but in terms of sports NY has nothing on Boston.
what, baseball? that's 20th century. Plus baseballs boring for the most part everyone knows it and its a relic of a slower american culture long since evolved. Football is where it's at and right now the best run organization is the Patriots. say somethin to disprove it.......done? okay moving along
As for Pierce he is the heart of the here and now celtics. KG may be the emotional spark but Pierce, he's the soul. it's his game, perimeter, his used-to-be-ill inside drive, whatever
he stuck w/ us through thick and thin. to most he's the face (excluding bandwagoners). as for 20 win team u do know he was injured most that season and even talked about needing help before that season started right? Dude came from Inglewood and is now and forever a C's fan......he gets respect off that alone....
as for attempting to discredit the chips in boston. cmon, then why doesnt wilt have a million rings? and it's not accurate saying Phil built the Bulls.........he was given jordan! MICHAEL JORDAN - do you know what he's capable of?
u try to make it sound like the nba during the celtics' dynasty was a rinky-dink proto-wnba league.......do i need to go down a list of all the dudes from that era? the all-time greats NOT on the celtics? nah im good you can do that yourself
finally, the greatest rivalry in the nba both past and present is lakers celtics and who won the last meaningful series between the two?
that's probably what hurts all you lakergirl fans the most. i know id be pissed if i couldnt get a shot at revenge and had to settle for playing a boring Finals that had MINIMAL anticiption or hype....name one game from that series that came even close to what was in the previous season's finals?

Oh good, you/'re back. Was worried about you. Do you have your helmet safely secured to your head? Ok, let's go.
First off, the reason I listed the 5 teams I did is because THAT"S WHO THE DAMN ARTICLE WAS ABOUT!!!!!! Do you read threads, or just chime in dumb and blind? Get a @#$%^& clue man. The story was about top 5 owners in this present time, the Celtics owner didn't make the list. DO YOU GET THAT?
So I didn't exclude anybody, I replied about the 5 teams in the discussion, and then you so smartly jumped in with both feet talkin stupid. And then got corrected. You're welcome.
Yes, Pierce is the face of the current Celts. And he got his ring, congrats are in order, but I don't care, you guys sucked for 20 years and you in here beggin for respect and callin people riders? That's idiotic. Get a clue. You were great last year. You won the title. We were all here to witness it, and we all paid our respects. That's the end of the story. You're window is at one year tops and then half your team falls off into retirment. Guess what will happen then? 20 more years, like the last 20. Have a good time with that.
Because Wilt didn't have 8 other hall of famers on his team, that's why. Is that too hard for you to figure out? Need a pen and some scratch paper or something? The Celts were a big market club in an era that the NBA was just beginning. They put together a great core that never had to deal with free agency or career ending injuries from the athleticism that teams face today. I'm not discrediting anything, I'm telling you what happened and how. Was this not the case back in the 60's? Is the game the same today as back then? It's not right? Ok then, let's continue on then......
What exactly had MJ won before Phil? What? Nothing, that's what. What had Shaq and Kobe won before Phil? Nothing, that's what. Does Phil get ALL the credit for that? Of course not. But it is sorta relevant isn't it? Yeah it is. He showed them the way. The guy also has a ring as a player, AND has a ring as a caoch in the CBA. Where the hell does the guy NOT have a ring from? He's the better coach, get over it.
Oh? I know I'd be pissed too if I knew my team couldn't defende their title and win back to back for the past, oh I dunno, 40 plus years. No, you all just sat at home and watched while we got that title back home where it belongs. Sure, I woulda loved to see you guys get there ,but you couldn;t make it. So we had to beat the guys that beat you, in your building, in game 7. And we didn't need 7 games. So listen, if you make it back to face us this year, good luck, I hope we can meet again, but if you fail yet again, and all those old Celts fade off into the sunset, I suspect you won't be around chirping about meaningless 60's talk anymore right? I sure hope so.
Now get back on your scooter and go back where you came from Corky.

Game 1 sucked, and game 5 was merely the clincher. So, yeah. That series was no fun for you huh, comin from a fan of a team sittin at home for the summer, I bet it was lame. But shoulda felt just like the last 20 years shouldn't it have? I mean, 2008 was the abberation for you was it not? You weren't really used to watching basketball in June were ya? I hope he's done with this now, my hands are starting to cramp.
