Cutler gets a bad rep here and from a lot of other places. And after last season, with him throwing 26 picks and me having to defend him after every game, it made me very critical of him.
But he's been a huge part of our NFC North clinch. Hate on him all you want, but he's better than you think he is. He still makes bad decisions, holds on to the ball too long, has terrible mechanics, but the one thing that no one mentions is his leadership. That's something Orton or Grossman didn't have. We can rally around the guy and he can win it for us. He probably won't get the credit he's due but he's a tough SOB who will try to win no matter what. I appreciate that. He's cut down on the turnovers and understands what he needs to do for us to win. Keep Martz, give him an OL and a #1 WR, and we got this division on lock.
