But I do think if A&M has a standing offer to go to the SEC then they should take it. Do it in good faith instead of in spite of UT which they've been doing for pretty much over a year now.

The majority of the conference and Texas don't compete for the same recruits anyway and pretty much know they're small fish and Texas 9 times outta 10 wins head to head recruiting battles with A&M anyway.

ESPN made sure it didn't happen by promising the other 9 teams in the conference that they would get an equal share of the pie, same as Texas.  So they signed, now Texas wants to air HS games on it's network (big conflict of interest btw,

) and the other teams got pissed.  What the hell did they expect?  Texas wasn't going to play fair, they know they own that conference and every team in it, even Oklahoma.

That conference is going to fall apart, I give it one or two years, max. aTm will go to the SEC.  Texas will probably go Independent, it will be interesting to see where the other schools land.

Texas swears they're not rivals, they don't care about A&M, A&M can't exist without Texas and Texas will refuse to play A&M if they leave for the SEC...

A&M fans are tired of the BS and want to competely cut ties with Texas. Don't care about playing them in the future because it would weaken Texas' schedule and there's no need for them to add Texas to an SEC slate.

Both sides jabbing at the others fight songs when BOTH of their songs have lines about the other...

They both need each other. Different conferences or not, they're both better for playing the other across every sport. They generate big chunks of money by playing each other and neither school is going to want to give that up.
