Anyone hear anything about the 'feud' going on between Texas and A&M over broadcasting High School Football games on the Longhorn Network? The Aggies stepped in and protested and then Dan Beebe ruled that no network in the Big 12 could broadcast high school football games. So rumors building steam are that UT is pissed about that ruling and some slight rumblings are being heard about another possible 'realignment.'

Why the hell is Muschamp & Co. forcing Sharrif to lose weight? It's not like he ballooned up to 350

Talked to an AD of a high school on Aledo's schedule today and got an interesting perspective on ESPN and their handling of things. As a clarifying statement, I am not for LHN showing high school games and this AD is a faithful Aggie.
Rewind to about two months before the LHN was announced, ESPN calls up this school and tells them they want to broadcast their game against Aledo. ESPN tells the school they want to broadcast the game on Saturday afternoon etc. The school says they'd rather not play a Saturday game, but they'd listen if the game was Thursday night. ESPN says no thanks, end of story.
Approx. two weeks after the LHN is announced ESPN calls this school back and talks to the AD. ESPN tells the AD they want to do the game on Saturday again. Thinking this could potentially benefit the school he asks, what is in it for his school for being on LHN and moving the game to Sat. ESPN tells the AD "You will get the priviledge of being on the inaugural season of LHN and we'll throw in some extra gatorade."
The AD now a little insulted says his school is a coke school and couldn't have the gatorade on the sideline anyway. Then he asks the ESPN rep "If (Johnathan) Gray had committed to A&M would you guys even be interested in doing the game?" There was a long pause, long enough for the AD to say "hello?" and the ESPN rep just stammered and said "I can't answer that question" The AD then told ESPN not to call his school anymore and ended the call, of course his words to me was basically he told ESPN to "F*** Off"
Pretty poor handling by ESPN if you ask me.
Everybody was stupid for agreeing to stay in this conference based on a handshake agreement over what they're make for Tier 1 rights two years from that time and knowing full and damn well Texas and ESPN were about to get in bed together on a TV Network... Did anybody really believe Texas and ESPN were making a network for one non-con game against Rice or Directional Louisiana, a bunch of basketball games against bad teams, and all their non-revenue sports? Come on. People couldn't possibly have been that short-sighted...
A&M needs to leave. They should've left 6 months ago. People freaked out about the state threatening to pull their academic funding.Really? Like Rick Perry and all those idiots in Austin were going to essentially kill off their second largest and only Tier 1 academic institution besides UT as a result of leaving Baylor (which doesn't affect the state in any way) and shipping Texas Tech off to the Pac12? Yeah right. Morons.
