Nobody is disrespecting KG. I like them both.

yea its a little bit of disrespect to act like charles was a 6'6 mj just dominating everyone

if that was the case he'd have some rings

That's the thing though...how are they underachieving under brooks :lol ?

2 finals in the last 3 years and it can be argued that the only reason why they didn't make it in 2013 was because of Russ. So how are they underachieving? Are they supposed to win it all every year?

And all those things you point to that people are critical of brooks about is essentially splitting hairs because at the end of the day, those horrible rotations, lack of an offense, etc. has them flirting with 60 wins and the NBA finals every year. Do you know how many teams out west can make that claim? Do you know how many coaches in the NBA right now can make that claim?
brah i feel you with what you say and how you look at the bigger picture opposed to focusing all the little details. but with the players brooks have, they are suppose to be damn near winning it every year while being the number 1 seed out West and smashing teams to get to the Finals.
i think you mean 2 WCF in the last 3 years but this year it took a a Z-Bo suspension and a questionable game in the Clippers series for them to get back in the WCF. Yes, I know both the clippers and memphis are tough teams but people in the forum believe if they had a different coach, they wouldn't have faced that much troubles.
Just show me another team with two potential position revolutionizing players? KD is at worse a top 2 player while RW is at least a top 8 player. How many times in the L history that there's a team with top of the 8 players?

you're adding words. Please go back and highlight where it was said that Barkley dominating like MJ.

I swear some people on this board add things out of thin air.

Phil Jackson as great of a coach he is, got real lucky with his timing in my opinion. I feel like he got to all 3 situations just as those teams were getting ready to peak and come together. You got to lose before you make it to the promise land.
So a Lakers team with Lamar Odom & Smush Parker as their #2 & #3 scorers is "getting ready to peak" to you?

Yep, he gets every team over the hump and is a perfect manager of personalities

His greatest skill, as a coach is that he puts his best players in the easiest positions to score. Whether it's Kobe or Mike and having them operate 15 feet away from the basket instead of having them essentially being Point guards, and then he surrounds them with players who are specialist that don't have the right to have an ego, allowing him to have a team that has a mastermind, ( the star player) which promotes harmony & success within his teams. He also puts those players in positions that promotes their talents, rather than forcing them to be players they aren't.

KG is one of the greatest defensive players of all time.

The gap between Barkley and KG on offense simply isn't as big as the gap between the two of them on defense.

I don't think you are getting it.The "difficulty" that they have faced this year is completely subjective because 1) Those were some really good teams that the Thunder had to face and 2) They got past both the Grizzlies and the Clippers ( :( ) so it really doesn't matter how "difficult" the route is, as long as they get through it. Phil Jackson the MVP on a 67 win team and almost lost in the first round in 00' then almost blew a 3-1 lead in the WCF of that same year. But does that matter? No because they got through it. Until Brooks starts underachieving then we can talk about his ineptness as a coach.

Like I've said before, when you are constantly getting to the WCF, and challenging for the NBA Finals, winning almost 60 games year in and year out, there's not much more you can do other than win it all every year. If the Thunder had a different coach on hand, what do you think the Thunder's success would be? Like how much better would they be? If they get past the Spurs this year, that'll put them in the finals...again. So what more could you want?

Chuck was 26 & 14 on like 62%. Insane.

& KG gave you 24/14/6 on 50% while being the second best two way player at his position in the league.

I guess defense doesn't matter? Because if you value defense there's no way you choose Chuck over The Big Ticket in their respective primes.

Now if we talking final years? I'm taking Chuck after this season for KG. :lol

I won't believe Sterling is gone until he's gone. He is trying to drag this this thing out. I still think this selling the team stuff is a smoke screen to try to get his lawyers more time.

Prime KG skill wise was probably the best PF of all time. But you won't win anything with him as your #1 option, which is why if I'm building a team, my #1 guy would be a guy like Chuck or Dirk, who though are less rounded, are alpha dogs who you can give the ball to and not worry about them shrinking due to ****** mentality.
