NBA learned their lesson from past seasons when they put the Blazers on TNT a whole lot only for injuries to cripple that team along with sub par play because of it. That I can see is a balancing act. You don't know what team is gonna get it together and be lucky with no injuries. Plus the market will always weigh heavily on who gets nationally televised games. They have to be willing to change the games selected for tv after the fact. Obviously tonight these are the only game going on, no chance, but quite a few great matchups involving OKC, POR, IND, have been snubbed for just terrible games. Obviously the Lakers are the prime example, although surprisingly they are more fun to watch without Kobe. Nick Young and the Lakers versus LeBron and the Heat just doesn't have that same must see value
How many tv games for the Blazers this year? Suns?
THISI hope all 5 games are a 20pt blowout so that the NBA catches all kinds of **** and they reconsider the way they decide their Xmas schedule
Keep the xmas schedule blank until mid Nov. By then you can get a better feel for the better teams in the league as well as factoring past rivalries and big markets.I hope all 5 games are a 20pt blowout so that the NBA catches all kinds of **** and they reconsider the way they decide their Xmas schedule
How else would they do it..
They are picked at the beginning of the season..
Only snub is the Pacers. But they lose out to big markets.
Also BK/CHI, OKC/NY would have been thought to be good games 3 months ago.. Injuries happen and Knicks happen.
