Just to add a little prospective to the Rose injury...

When I tore my meniscus, the piece of ligament tore completely off and got lodged in the hinge of my knee. Caused it to lock and delayed the recovery process by about two weeks, but I just had it removed and was back to playing sports (with considerable pain) within a month. I'm not him, I didn't have a previous more serious knee injury and we don't know the exact extent of the tear or which side it is, but just saying - weird **** like that can happen to make it a little worse.
