I don't know how i feel about this.

- He's a talented offensive coach but didn't really focus on defense

- He didn't really have a talented team to work with, last year I think after the all star break, the Lakers record was pretty decent.

Coach can only do so much unless your name is Scott Brooks, that guy is a moron.

Mark Jackson? Why? So he can pep talk us to victory? Does he even run legitimate plays? All I ever here and see from him is motivational speeches and analogies about Rudy and Muhammed Ali

C'mon man you saying the man can't coach?!?!

Dantoni's a good coach they said, We cant find a better option they said....... Get this guy the hell out of here good riddance :smokin

IF Indy Loses and Frank Vogul gets fired i would Love to have him here. He's young, still improving, & most importantly he seems like a guy who players love but still will make adjustments to better his team.

In all fairness he took a team with one Star player, and very good role players to 60 wins, i like his promise

so did mike brown. chill out.

No to George Karl.
No to Lionel Hollins.
Eh...no...but maybe no... to Byron.
I like Mark Jackson, but sorry...no to him as well.

Maybe to Vogel.
Yes to Coach K.
Yes to Ollie.

Its time to give someone who hasnt had 40 chances a try.
Someone hungry.

Not someone washed up like Karl or Hollins.

Tony Kornheiser on radio saying that Mitch is a Carolina guy and so is Karl and that maybe the likely direction, being that he has coached in the West before. Not liking that move...

Mike Brown had Lebron.... and a center who wouldn't give you 8 &3 as the supposed second option.

and even in those years i never once thought he had control or even respect from that team dude always looked like a cluts on the sideline. I would love Nate Mcmillan to get another shot as a coach also.

I honestly think Dantoni's reputation with Players is what helped him out the door. We have a hopefully impactful rookie coming in, And tons of cap room... with Dantoni here a bunch of the Top Stars would question playing here

If Mitch hires George Karl, it's time for the whole ******* front office to be let go.

And Laker fans will applaud and cheer the hiring like a bunch of mindless zombies. :{

Truly unbelievable to me that the product that was on the court this year was the best thing about the Lakers this season.

Stay Dwight
Kobe extension
Not unloading assets
Not properly tanking
Soon to be coaching downgrade

All those things, worse than the actual performances at Staples this year.

Un ******* believable. :{

it's really not that hard to rile CP up.

hey CP, george karl isn't that bad. maybe if we trade our draft pick now, we can get klove or melo to go along with our new superstar coach :hat

LTB, you forget that I do have a sense of humor.

Give me George Karl and McDermott and we can just get this party started. :hat

Well, at least one thing seems to be going right. They sound like they will wait til they know what pick # we'll have before they find someone to coach.

Obviously, the better the pick we land, the better the candidate pool will be.

If they start in with this re-sign Pau, sign Boozer, Kobe, and pick and "make a run" next year, we're already pretty screwed.

I wonder, if Vogel gets clipped, and we chased him, would he help bring in Lance, or would he hurt our cause to bring in Lance? I've never seen anything like what has happened to the Pacers, ever, so I don't even know if getting Vogel is a good thing anymore.

I just hope we stay away from re-treads. If we're going to be bad, or middling, then get someone young in and let them grow. Let them take orders under Mitch and Jim, and get everyone on the same page for the first time since 2011.

That's why I kinda hope it's Fisher. He knows Mitch, he knows the org, he's respected by all. He can learn on the job while we take more lumps, but if he stays working, and developing players, handles the media right, in a year or two he could be ready to go, and the roster could be shaped to his needs as we get out from under Nash and Kobe's deals, the rookie develops, etc.

I know it's a long shot and we don't even know if Fisher wants to coach, but I would take rookie Fisher over Karl, Coach K, Calipari, Scott, or any of the other has beens everyone is clamoring for.
