2014 NBA Draft Thread

KD was dominating the college lvl, he could always get his own shot & showed signs of being an above avg ball handler

Wiggins is the type of player that should never have to take more than 3 dribbles to score, if he becomes a face up player like this, he would be a force in the league on the offensive end

I can't think of anybody with serious back issues (especially big men) that came back afterwards and had a great career. Even if Embiid is alright right now it's just a scary thought that it could be a reoccurring issue.
Tyson Chandler.

But then again, I can't think of too many bigs that had serious (recurring) back issues to be honest.

Wiggins is a great athlete who has great potential to become an all star. It'll be very interesting to see who the cavs draft

I don't know where the hell these people were that said that about KD but as far as I can remember both Durant and Oden were basically can't miss prospects coming out. Durant was George Gervin and Oden was Bill Russell.

There were so many questions about KD's strength from people on here. Especially after the bench press fiasco.

Joel Embiid's measurements at the workout on Fri: 7' 1" in shoes, 7' 5.75" wingspan, 9' 5.5" standing reach.

Jabari Parker's measurements at workout on Friday: 6' 9" in shoes, 6' 11.75" wingspan, 8' 11.5" standing reach.

I'd like to know what their weight was.

Parker is huge man

Parker is a huge SF, but an average PF, what you think of his ceiling really depend on weather he can stay at SF or not.

We can't forget though, Carmelo isn't the skinnest of SFs either.

He is a dominant SF, and can play some PF, with great low post skills.

And there were PLENTY of people underwhelmed with KD's rookie season. Dudes were saying Al Horford was better.

1. Carmelo is playing small ball 4 mostly in NY.

2. Jabari was worse on d than Carmelo was in college.

PJ Carlisimo had him starting SG. :lol

I will always remember that tnt commercial barkley saying kd was gonna be the greatest scorer ever his rookie season, :lol typical bold prediction by barkley

I don't understand why you guys question if Jabari Parker can play the 3. It's so evident that that is his natural position. Not even a question.

He will be a 3/4 like Melo. Equally effective at both spots.

And lol at saying Melo was a better defender coming out of college when he spent every second playing zone.

I remember Diaw was listed as a pg on his rookie cards

Crazy he plays the 4 now.

I don't like how Anderson has to have the ball in his hands to be effective

The zone is a good point.

but

Your position is about who you can GUARD.

He was horrific at Duke, like a train wreck, Coach K had to go offence-defense with him against MERCER. Tons of blow bys on the perimiter, was in the wrong place a bunch of times on help. He was bad.

Was just talking about that. Dude brought up a great point that players can evolve, and add to their game like KD.

Paul George coming coming out couldn't dribble a lick. Now he's a decent ball handler..and a better scorer than most projected him to be.

Did I miss OKB's breakdown on Micic, Nurkic, and Bogdanovic? Also Tavares and Jaiteh.
