What else is there to do in Kansas?
Meth
Can someone explain to me why these big boards have Aaron Gordon going much higher than Adreian Payne?
adrien payne is 23. Aaron Gordon is 19.
age is so important when evaluating prospects.
also Aaron Gordon is an elite athlete.
Silly me, didnt realize Payne was already 23. This seems to be a scenario where there's more potential in Gordon but along with that more risk. Whereas Payne is the safer pick. If Aaron Gordon were to declare, honestly right now im still taking Payne. Payne's got the body, is able to impose his will in the paint, and has shown he can stroke it from anywhere. Im a little bit ignorant to what he does on the other side of the ball but I cant imagine hes a liability defensively. Especially when banging down low hes got the height and weight advantage on Gordon. I would need to see another year or two out of Gordon at Arizona. Because unless he gets bigger or improves offensively I wouldnt feel comfortable drafting him this year.

More than anything though, if I were a GM im always going to avoid a 4 who has the body of a 3.

1. Payne and Gordon are basically the same size.
2. The job a talent evaluater is to project, you don't get another year or two to decide if Gorodon will be good.
What's Dougie Buckets pro comparison ?
Like what's his ceiling ?
all depends on who he gets drafted by,
If he goes to a coach who wants him to stand in a corner and shooter threes, he can be a Wally Scerbiak type. kyle korver at worst.
But If a coach is smart, innovative, willing to use unconventional lineups, and move him all around the court,
a shorter Dirk.
