How do you figure? The Bucks are in no position to make the playoffs while the Cavs were pretty close this year. I don't see how the Bucks is a better situation in any way than the Cavs

Just a note:

I remember saying I loved Vander Blue in the NBA last year and he still hasn't made it, but surprisingly I read a recent ESPN Magazine article that says he's still chugging along...Still confident he'll be in the bigs at some point.

For gods sake I was watching Team Canada highlights the other day on YouTube that had Thompson, Bennett and WIggins all balling together. It's amazing.

and I really do think if the Lakers didn't have to give Nash 9 mil next year the Cavs may have pulled a Brooklyn

:lol

I remember loosing by like 20 plus in HS to them. I don't know if it was "team canada" exactly, but it was an AAU tourney in Louisiana in either 08' or 09' and we lost to this canadian team and Cory Joseph and Tristian Thompson were on that team. Straight smacked us :{ :{

Vander Blue played in the NBA last year, granted he didnt do much and played for bad teams (Sixers & I think the Celtics) he was still in the league. I hope he gets better too tho

He sparingly played...He's been everywhere. Let the man get settled and I still think he will have a solid career.

The value of a C isn't what it once was.

Even if this is true it doesn't change the value behind having a potentially really good offensive 5 with elite defense. The value isn't that high because they are very hard to come by. However, it doesn't change how valuable they can be to a franchise if you're able to get your hands on one.

Higher floor than wiggins? :{

Wiggins floor is kawhi, embiids floor is tyson chandler, excluding injury risk.

:lol Vastly overstating the floor for both of these guys.

Really? Worst case scenario for Embiid is DPOY? And Wiggins - worst case scenario is two way stud who's the third best player on the best team in the league?

Realistically, Wiggins has loads of potential but he has a LOT of work to do. Athleticism isn't much if you can't use it to impact the game consistently. He needs to figure out how to use it to finish inside over bigger players (badly struggled at the rim), how to use his first step to get to the rim and how to impact the game defensively.

He's going to need to learn how to score in isolation (from the wing or post) and/or run a PnR effectively. This is a must if he wants to be more than a role player.

And he needs to bulk up if he's going to deal with SFs. And his jumper is a work in progress.

Kawhi without his strength, 3pt shot, high BBIQ is not much of a player. He turned himself into a knockdown corner 3 guy and forced Pop to play him. He's a damn good overall player. We'll see how Andrew does.

Embiid is much further along IMO. He needs to bulk up and gain experience defensively. Outside of that, he has a lot of NBA ready skills right now. It's not like he's being drafted over Wiggins just cause he's a big man.

The death of the 2 guard isn't talked about enough
Every team runs with two PGs on the floor now, and guys who are natural SGs (Westbrick, soon to be Exum) are used as PGs.

Those aren't the only reasons why ofc but they stand out to me

Bucks take bari they can easily compete for a 7-8 seed

Knight/oj/bari/ilyasova/sanders & koumpo off the bench

Thats a solid core & hopefully oj would be in shape & motivated

Bari is one of the coldest dudes to come to Durham...kid is special, god i hope he doesnt go to the Bucks.

I think it was a blessing for Parker to play the 4 all year, I hope he takes that mentality to the pros when he plays the 3 but in more of a bully 3 role. Mix the back to the bucket mentality to his perimeter skill set could be something

His defense though. His _efense
sick.gif
hope that somehow improved

Dear god please let the Cavs and Bucks pick Wiggins and Embiid.....pleaaaase.

I see the loads of potential with Wiggins and Embiid but they're both probably the biggest risks in this draft IMO. Jabari is at worst Glenn Robinson, at best Melo/Pierce.
