Compare the shaq trade to the melo trade. What has denver done with the pieces from the melo trade combined with pieces from elsewhere?

Not a damn thing. So don't take what mitch did for granted because it doesn't happen like that often

If the Lakers sign Kevin Durant in 2016, is somebody going to claim it was somehow the result of the trade for Dwight Howard?

I'm sure Mitch had the foresight to give up Caron Butler for Kwame and he of course knew that Kwame Brown would magically turn into Pau Gasol **** outta here. The Lakers were VERY lucky after that trade, hell Kobe was going to bolt in 2007 because of the lack of moves to improve the roster and the Buss' were being cheap.

Odom was the only piece the Lakers got out of that trade that did anything, Brian Grant and Caron were horrible.
Jordan Farmar too! :lol

Man shut up :lol. What I'm talking about is basic causation and flipping assets, whipping a 4 to a 9. Yall are trying to argue around it to try and be cute

lakers arent gonna be THAT bad. dont think they make the playoffs but they will compete and be in the race for a spot.
got them at 40 Ws this season

Timeout. Has it been confirmed that Chicago has made that offer or is it just rumors?

Carmelo :smokin :smokin :smokin

Its just a rumor, why didnt the Wolves take the original offer of Taj, Mirotic, and Two picks before the draft? Now that we have McBuckets they're interested? Miss me with the smokescreens, Wolves trying to gut the Cavs roster.

Bulls signed Pau and filled out their bench, only player who might get moved is Dunleavy but I doubt. Barring any off season injuries (fingers crossed) our roster is pretty much set.

How are the Knicks doing though? Still have Bargs and JR on the roster? 8o

I can't say for sure because we all know anything can happen, but it seems to me that LeBron is going to play the rest of his career in Cleveland. The way he wrote the essay and that he wanted to raise his family here when he has a daughter that hasn't even been born yet.

I don't think the Cavs not trading for Love means that he will leave and that even if they do and they fail to win the title he will leave.

The plan is to sign the max in 2016 with the Cavs so he can get the most mula.

Cavs aren't doing anything to make Bron want to stay IMO. I really do believe they feel confident that he isn't leaving again..

*shrugs*

At the end of the day...

Wiggins is the asset Minnesota covets. Love is the asset Cleveland covets .In scenarios where trade partners line up like this, a deal typically gets done.

Guys saying "well if GSW decides to include Thompson after Wiggins signs, then who knows?". If the Warriors wanted to trade Thompson they would have already done it. A 30 day window from July to August does absolutely nothing to change a team like Golden State's stance.

The season doesn't start until October 28th. The pre-season doesn't even start until October 4th. That gives both parties 72 days before Love would face suiting up for Minnesota. Throw out the 30 day window and there is still 6 weeks between the Wiggins 30 day window expiring and the start of the pre-season. Some of these media members are talking like the season will start before the 30 day trade clock expires.

So let me get this straight, the Lakers won the Shaq/Heat trade, a trade that happened on Jul 14, 2004, because they traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown, who was then traded in the Pau Gasol trade on Feb 1, 2008...... almost 4 years later, when they went 156-145 between the two trades....... with a playoff record of 4-8......
