Damn, I didn't realize we had to get clearance to praise certain players :lol

Its not so much praising AD, but the insistence on ranking him as one of the best 3 players in the game already. Its premature and unnecessary. Let him be great and go ahead and celebrate how great he is, but let's stop putting him in the Hall of Fame already.

where is this Melo pic from?

I understand that point but that's not what I was referring to. It's the "don't post about AD thinking you was reppin for him from day 1". Lol, it's not that serious man.

I hear you. Its not like anyone is going to get any credit for "figuring out" Davis was going to be great. He was the consensus number 1 pick and the college player of the year who lead his team to a national title. Everyone who follows basketball knew he was as close to a can't miss prospect as there is.

That's not what I said. I'm seeing it as...it's not even so much about the player, but people just wanting to say they were right about it before everyone else caught on. Which is why I said it's some hipster **** now , and that's sort of the same we got with Andre Drummond in last year's thread, if any of you remember.

****** were beating us over the head (pause) damn near every day on ol' boy.

So now I'm a hipster who repeats what ESPN says? :lol :lol :lol

I really, truly, honestly, without a doubt, don't give a flying **** what any of you think.

Anthony Davis is the 3rd best player in the league, today. The only two guys I would even consider moving him for are Durant, and LeBron. No one else.

I would trade Russ for AD
I would trade Blake for AD
I would trade CP3 for AD
I would trade Melo for AD
I would trade Dwight for AD
I would trade Harden for AD
I would trade Steph for AD

I don't give a **** about ESPN, or even know what a hipster is, so label me as you please. Anthony Davis's game speaks for itself, and will continue to do so. I just pray he doesn't get hurt like Rose did after his MVP season. :x

I hear you, difference between this and Drummond is considerable though. Let's be real. Like lawdog mentioned, Davis was a #1 overall pick with high expectations to begin with. I don't necessarily agree it's getting "hispter" with Davis, he's just finally starting to look the part. I think a lot of us saw the pro potential since high school...

I hear you about Drummond. That **** is definitely true. Davis though, this just aint the same thing

Also like I told lawdog, I understand if people are uneasy about other folks proclaiming things like top 3 player and what not. That's not what I'm getting at though..

I'm with you, except for Russy.

But Melo is an idiot for not going to the Bulls

And last time I checked the Knicks are still putrid in an crappy eastern conference that got slightly better.

The truth hurts. I know.
The truth is you wouldn't turn down $55-60 extra M's if it was offered to you either. That's all that matters.

Sports fans and economics, man.

Putting these athletes on the ultimate pedestal for "a better chance to win".

Ya'll think Melo gonna feel some type of way if Chicago manages a top 3 seed with a functioning Derrick Rose?

Nope.

Aint like it'll be hard for the Knicks to get a top 4 seed playing in the Atlantic anyway.

you would say nope

Melo is still an idiot for not going to the Bulls.
Of course I would say no yall dudes are on the sidelines with a whole different set of priorities. Melo knows where wining would matter most.

You sound like idiot talking about giving up that much money.

thought he was all about winning doe? 8o 8o

At this point CP you sounding like you need to back away from AD's package with how hard you're going. How many times can you say the same thing?

It's like yall want an argument for someone to say no.

I mean you just said he's already the 3rd best player in the game NOW :lol You're posts are all based on his potential. You're not taking in to consideration what that statement actually entails. If he's 3rd best right now, I expect MVP contention #s this season at the very least.
thought he was all about winning doe? 8o 8o
You can win and make A LOT of money though.

I can hear, and entertain Russ might be worth it, he would be my 4th, but wouldn't be mad if someone else has him as their 3rd.

don't feed the troll gys

It'll be funny if in the next 2 years a phenom shows up to blow this whole top 3 talk out the water.
My dude Thon Maker has next. I'm calling it now!!!!!!!! /sarcasm

But really, he's gonna be nasty. Hope he can stay healthy

I usually never agree with the old man, but I agree with CP on that one.

If i'm building a team right now for the future i'm picking AD over all of those guys.

Yeah but if you're a building a team to win a championship right now who are you building it around? 8o Keeping in mind that player is suppose to be your 1st option and team leader.
