75% of the league (maybe even more) are overpaid, idk why people still care about contracts.

Only thing that really matters is the length of the new contract.

Why I think Parsons' deal wasn't so bad. Lin/Asik contract proved not to be too bad. I mean... those poison pill contracts were supposed to be the grossest most toxic things ever.. and they really didn't turn out so bad for Houston

It was a blanket statement, hence my response.. The team did a number of things with Kobe.. And harden wasn't always on the court with Kobe..

Yes he did guard Kobe, especially later in the games when they both would have been in.. But a combination of guys saw time on Kobe

Of course a combination of guys saw Kobe since Harden doesn't play 48 minutes.

The point is, when Harden & Kobe were both on the court, that was usually Harden's matchup.

It was harden guarding Kobe those years when they played LAL
Yeah Harden played superb defense on Kobe that one series and then that idiot Brooks switched out Harden so Seff could guard him and Kobe torched him. While when Harden was on him Kobe was missing all of his go to shots.

It was maddening.

Shame we haven't seen that Harden in a while. The whole offense/defense is mentality thing as well. Some players feel they can give it their all on both ends or work for it with conditioning and stamina and other find the balance. Those that don't, go hard one way or the other and flopping has led to the better skilled offensive players ditching defense altogether.

Well the thing is, Harden is actually a good post defender. His wide, strong frame combine with his height allows him to be a really good defender in the post. Kobe was (and still does) mainly operate from the elbow to the post, which is right up in Harden's alley as far as his capabilities defensively are concerned. You take into account the fact that he was guarding Kobe Bryant (He tends to completely forget about his man if he's not guarding a premier player) and you have James Harden playing excellent position defense.

Harden body fat should be lower and he would be better. Dude stays getting winded.

McHale isn't that good of a coach but I don't think he's to blame for Harden's shortcomings though he does allow him.

Agree. Its not just on McHale though. Its just the way the league is now. Players run the team. If Harden and Dwight wanted McHale out he'd be gone in a minute

True a guard with his much body fat is rare, of he slims down he can gain that elite lateral quickness, only defense tools he got is his crazy wingspan and strength

The Anthony Davis d-ride in here is gross :x

The Pelicans have one of the best projected starting line-ups in the NBA. Jrue, Gordon, Aminu (rather have Reke', instead), Anthony D, & Asik. That's easily a 7-6 seed, if healthy. Yes, in the west.

Damien, Plumlee, DeRozan, Gay & Drummond will get cut from Team USA. In my opinion.

AD is a glorified energy guy at this stage of his career

If i need a pf to depend on to go get me a bucket

Im taking love, blake, lamarcus, duncan over him any day
