DJ making first team all NBA is just more fuel for the clippers slander bus

What a sad hopeless franchise

They play defense, they just dont play it as well as others.

James Harden doesn't "play" defense.
Difference between not trying and doing it average

yup ...

theyll bring up his empty stats , but dont realize how irrelevant it is if you drop nearly 30 every game yet give up 35 points every game on the opposite end then add that hes a turnover machine . he didnt deserve all nba honors.
Why do you always say he gives up 35 points on the defensive side?  His opponents make 6 out of 13 shots while he's guarding them.  Hardly 35 points.

You think Harden only gives up 6 buckets a game defensively?

When he's the primary defender, yes.  I'm not pulling that number out of thin air.

You have to keep in mind that you're responding to people who probably think he guards Curry, Lillard, Klay, Paul, etc every game. The only guy who's really dumped a bunch of points on Harden has been JJ Redick.

the D'Antoni teams not playing defense is such a farce. It's solely based on the fact that they gave up the most points per game, because they had the fastest pace in the league. Their defensive rating was always middle of the pack in Phoenix, and his offenses were always top 3.

Don't even start with NY and LA. Those rosters were PUTRID.

Yes, our roster isn't in great shape right now, but we're heading into the offseason with roughly 45 million in cap to reshape the roster to fit his needs.

As for "D'antoni and Harden won't get along. Harden isn't a D'Antoni" guy, completely disagree. Harden is a superb pick and roll player, and thrives in transition. It'll come down to shaping the roster in free agency.

I agree with all of this

Yeah but theres not many people in free agency that will take the Rockets to that level. I hope we dont go after Al Horford

Maybe we do, maybe we don't. I'm for signing a bunch of wing players like Bazemore, Allen Crabbe, Courtney Lee etc. Just get a bunch of versatile swingmen to run a more motion offense and kill teams in transition.

**** Dan Tony

Sweet. Let's continue to run a system we don't have the players for

Idk fam, I can't say his defenses were the worst, but him with a superstar that isn't a 2 way player? and it seems like we'd be talking bout a pretty large roster revamp to get a crew that's going to play contender-level defense.
