This is me, not making a comment, until it's officially official. I want to see them holding up jerseys before I thank the based god.

Not at all. Any knowledgable Cardinals fan knew this was coming and was prepared. It sucks that the face of the franchise is gone, but there is no way he is worth to the Cardinals the contract he was asking for. It's both a good deal for the Angels & Albert and the fact that he can eventually make the switch to DH makes that much more sense for both parties. There is a hole in St. Louis, there is no denying that, but in the not too long future the Cards are going to look back on this and realize they made the right move by not giving Albert what he wanted. Albert gave the Cards his best years and as a fan that's all we can ask for. I like our chances in the division next year because the Brewers are about to lose Fielder.

Yeah I agree with everything you said except for ya'll taking the division next season, but when I said Cards fans must be hurtin I meant everyone thought that he was going back to STL as of yesterday when the Marlins dropped out of the sweepstakes, and you wake up today and he's with the Angels.

It makes sense why Pujols would go to the angels....he can DH toward the end of this contract and i dont think he wanted to go to the marlins cause that would require him to visit STL....deep inside i think he wanted to go far from there....

   Don't be so pessimistic

if this deal puts the Angels in a position where they can't afford to bring back others like Kendrick/Aybar or resign Haren, it makes it look worse.  These deals don't put a stranglehold on anyone.  LAA is not NYY or even Boston.  Moreno doesn't have that kind of revenue that they do and won't be willing to pay that hefty luxury tax.  Still hope for both of those teams.

If they Yankees trade for Gio Gonzalez, I may boycott for a little bit

but from what I've read they're not parting with Banuelos or Montero for him.  They'd build a package around Betances.  Asking too much for Gio.  Let AZ kill their farm of good arms for Beane.
A's wont be a factor until they get a new ballpark in san jose. ya they would get good prospect from for gio but then they turn around and trade them away in 3-4 years.
