The funniest thing about this tweet is that he's talking about competitiveness yet he posted it when he had the most promising supporting cast in the league: Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka. And he was taking shots at how stacked the Heat were, yet his own team were considered the favorites when he met them in the 2012 Finals:

And he still couldn't beat LeBron. Dude was basically dealt a full house, but he couldn't win with it. He needed a straight flush.

He averaged 30+ ppg that finals while harden went ghost and heats role players were raining 3s. Now brons supporting cast not showing up and all of a sudden "bron needs more help, his team trash, kd needs a super team"

it'll be different if kd wasn't playing well during the finals while they had a 3-0 lead but kd is the clear cut FMVP with the dagger of the series in brons face, all water, on the road.

I really wonder what happened to him.

Was it because of his ankle injury or his weight?

Horseface prolly promised KB the finals MVP through snot bubbles during that parking lot call :lol

96 Bulls
01 Lakers
87 Lakers
85 Celtics
17 Warriors

When Russ Kawhi and Harden were battling for MVP you had the clear Russ fans, the clear Kawhi and the clear Harden guys.

Point is, the folks who were pumping Kawhi also had Kawhi as the 2nd best player in the World (or for sure in front of KD to put it a lesser way)

KD name was not even mentioned as a #1, but Kawhi's was.

Now, 5.5 weeks later with Kawhi gone fishing and out of mind and GSW on the brink of sweeping Lebron and Cavs, those same guys put KD as the best in the World.

You guys are way better than this.

1. KD was injured during the playoffs and regular season

2. Multiple people said had KD not gotten injured, he would have been a strong candidate for finals mvp

3. Zaza didn't sweep the leg yet

Who outside of Antidope and Bhzzlies were putting Kawhi up there. Russ was the MVP this season but Bron was still the best player...until now.

Your 1. is pretty much my point.

Out of sight out of mind.

KD was still this KD we see now, whether injured or with the OKC.

He just wasn't topic of convo, so he wasn't even considered.

Basically, whoever is playing right now and playing the best, with the best inevitable outcome, is the best.

that's what happened last year. The majority said Steph had passed LeBron but because LeBron had an all time great finals and Steph didn't play so well people said LeBron was the best and it wasn't close, because finals >..
I beg to differ. Steph Kd LeBron and Kawhi are top 4 and the gap between any them (not career wise, it's LeBron easily, talking right now in the year 2017) isn't huge no matter who you think is the best.

So who is now? KD? If KD is doing the same thing now that he was doing in OKC, and Lebron was the best as you said, what changed that? The team he's on? KD's game has evolved nor did he ascend to some better version of what he was last year or the year before. He's just with a different crew. Wouldn't the light shine brighter if you're in the spotlight longer than usual? KD always been great, but to put him on the pedestal of "best in the world" only because he's with a different team is absurd.
