We did bring him in for a second workout pre draft if that was any indication that we really wanted him for the long haul

I mean I don’t think GM’s take this serious when he says he won’t resign etc. I feel that’s just to throw bad teams like Phoenix off the scene. If Boston or the warriors trades for him he wouldn’t leave and go to the mediocre lakers. The trick is brett brown selling Kawhi on staying here

I’m thinking we’re about to send Fultz, Covington, Bayless, next year’s first rounder and the 2021 Miami first rounder for Kawhi. I think Zhaire is here to stay.

If that was the deal then it would put us in a very low risk situation even if for some reason Kawhi still feels like he wants to leave next summer. We’d already have our Covington replacement in Zhaire and Fultz contributed nothing towards our 52 win team last season. If he turns into a star then we can bite the bullet and we would still have max cap space again next summer to make a run at Klay or several other stars.

I dead *** do not trust Fultz’s mental. I get anxiety just listening to him speak or weirdly look into the camera during his Instagram/Snapchat videos. Zhaire seems like one of the toughest kids mentally and physically possible. I think Brett saw how tough the Celtics were when they faced them in the playoffs and knows he needs hard nosed, athletic dudes like that to bother them. If Fultz lives up to his #1 pick on the Spurs while we’re a championship contender with Kawhi then so be it.

I mean I’d take him to but mccollum is under contract for 3 years and Kawhi May or may not bounce. Regardless I’d make a trade easily
