I do think "aggressive" is an overstatement since Butler is an intense guy to begin with. But I don't blame him for being critical of Brett Brown. Someone on the team has to. We finally have a Big 3 and some of Brown's decision making has been highly questionable

I get that this org is patient. But look what it's leading to.

To my knowledge, the sixers are the only ones who can offer him the max. Not that money is a driving point for Jimmy.
Jimmy is a great fit here. He loves the players on this team. Seriously, don't let one report of Jimmy being Jimmy in one film session let you think otherwise.
If he truly just wants to win, this is currently his best option IMO. Not the clippers. Not the heat. We are truly on the cusp of greatness

The numbers don’t back it up. When Simmons is on the court, Embiid shoots better from the restricted area, in the paint, midrange, and 3-point land. The real concern is separating the pair from guards who struggle to shoot; according to NBAWowy’s numbers, lineups with Simmons and Embiid on the floor but Markelle Fultz and T.J. McConnell sidelined have an offensive rating of 116.4 in 560 minutes.
As much as we obsess over the importance of spacing, not every player needs to drill 3s. The Warriors, owners of the best offense in the NBA, have four rotational guys who don’t shoot from distance, and start one of them, Kevon Looney, alongside Green, who is making 23.7 percent of his attempts from deep. Among other elite offenses, the Rockets start Clint Capela and the Clippers start Marcin Gortat.
When Philly puts three shooting threats on the court, pairing Simmons and Embiid is a relative nonissue. The biggest issue with this team that teams like the Raptors, Bucks and Pacers don’t have to deal with is that those smaller market teams continue grabbing quality role players on multi-year deals strengthening their depth while we refuse to give anybody or get anybody on more than one year deals just in hopes of landing a big fish in free agency. So it’s really limited our options the last two years. We better PRAY we land another big time player in free agency this summer on top of our big three or else we sacrificed everything in hopes of that.

A Fultz who lives up to half his potential is a quality bench player. Really missing him and getting sick of seeing TJ get 30 min a night. 8-10 min range is perfect for him.

All Fultz bias aside, in the few games after Jimmy got here when he was running the 2nd unit (TJ C-DNPs) he’s was doing pretty fine. He was having one bad half against the Suns on defense (when the entire team was struggling) and Brett benched him instead of letting him play through it. Pretty sure had that not happened, he’d still be with the team

I read about that on Liberty Ballers earlier. I get the vibe that’s it’s more off court development stuff too. Nothing wrong with going for someone up and coming instead of retreads
