Usually double up on Nike Air pairs. Might as well with these. Need to sell my 2014 pair, get whatever I can for them.

Whatever it is, I hope to see it return. The 07 8s had something like that, so they should be able to do it again.

Also, the Playoff 8 Low has that effect on the entire upper. Pretty cool

Went and dug mine out. Had my babies since 93 and was terrified to wear them to school because of the punk @ss kids that thought it was funny to step on my sht. Once the toes on the 6, 7, 8 dented they were never the same. Here are a handful of shots (sorry for the 8's in the 6 thread everybody) with and without flash. You can see it wearing off around the toes where I had to do the most wiping off. The white flaky stuff that looks like dust is actually the drizzle print rubbing off. But yes, I agree. It completely killed the 9 retro when they did nubuck with no drizzle.

Beautiful. My bro got his 07 Playoff 8s stepped on so much during the first season few days after winter break lol. My 07s were crazy beat to death, and I threw them out in 2014. That 2013 retro didn’t even get a second glance due to the missing drizzle/crack looking stuff.

Nice. I had these back in 93’ and wore them to the ground like I did all my other ogs. I really thought the drizzle gave these and the charcoal 9 character. Would love to see it again but I ain’t holding my breath.

The pic with the flash shows that it’s something on there for sure. I know it sounds to crazy to people, but those little details are what makes Jordans great IMO

Don’t know If JB will do it. If not for playoff, I hope the 9s at least have it. It was more noticeable on the 9.

Thanks man! Little tiny design cues like that made those shoes back then. You don't realize how big something so small can be until you see things like the charcoal 9 retro.

Wasn't much I could do. Was basically the only kid that took pride in trying to keep my kicks clean, my mom taught at the school so I couldn't really fight anybody, and lots of times it was uppity girls doing it to try to be slick.

my favorite part is the thinner / shallow / less tall midfoot part of the upper. That shape makes them look OG. Theres not much to complain about with these. Even the heel looks differently textured.

Shape looks too long to me. I wonder what size this is

I think this shape is as close to the og as it’s ever been. I’m curious what the tongue height is like, but either wAy these will be bought x 2.

Yea I’ve never had the white infras before so I’d be down for a pair. But I want Carmine’s more.

I hope next year that JB revisits the 7 and gives us remastered Charcoals and Bordeaux. This model really needs some loving.

The funny thing is that the midfoot section is a detail in shape that I did NOT see in the 'official' pics.. again.. not debating just saying. This is why I am not yet impressed, just hopefully waiting.
