I just PRAY to god they don't use a glossy paint finish, on the midsoles. That ish is ATROCIOUS!!!

Hopefully, it's the same exact finish, that was used on the 2014 release.

Agree with everything except the Metallic 5, top 10 for sure. But for me it will have to be the Chicago 10s only because it’s an og pair I would’ve never get to own.

Once I got a well paying job, I stop buying retros after the CDP packs came out (never owned any packs) and started pursuing 2005 and below. Back then when 99 Bred 4, Metallic 5 and all were all wearable but came at heavy price lol

The Chicago 10s though at the time though, were so damn expensive. The most I ever payed for a sneaker had to be the 2000 Olympic 6, paid almost 500 for them DS.

I eventually stop buying jordans all together, after seeing my pairs crumble right in front me. RIP my 2001 BC3, Chicago 2 .

Even so, as the WC4, Metallic 5, infrared and all these jordans were being retro, none of them really brought me back that feeling that I had.

Recently I’ve been getting excited hearing all these rumors, but I feel like I might be too late in the game, after seeing those suppose fire red 4 releasing. I guess sooner or later the 2014 and up retros are going to be the new “OGs” people are going to be pursuing. Heck Chicago 1s are going for 600+, that’s what an OG would’ve cost you back in 2005.

So I guess my advice is, if you are still planning on collecting/buying jordans double up on the black cements, WC4, Metallics, trueblue 3 etc... because in a few year those prices we see now would be consider steals.

The lining is what Id like to see back also. It shows the design of the shoe and makes it stand out more. The 2014 is just all black, so the only thing that pops out is the 3m. Comparing to the original XIs white lining behind the pl on a black red. The lining def needs to come back. They captured that on the Metallic 5 very well.

Fire Red 4, Infrared 6, and Black Cement 4 is all as of now. They have some 19s rumored too.

I predict they’ll change the Infrared from more pink/orange to more or a hot red/orange/pink.

They need to go back to the original as much as possible and that photoshop looks darn close....I sold my 2014s because that infrared/neon pink was to loud for this old sneaker head

Lol yeah they are loud for sure. Wife says I am color blind. Because I see bright infrared exaggerated. My wife and daughter see straight pink idk.

I saw straight pink too which is why I passed on those. Hopefully they look like that photoshop.

I agree with you somewhat but I also think resale in recent years has been kept pretty steady for GR retros since the number of pairs per release produced after 2014 is SIGNIFICANTLY more for major releases (2015 Chi 1s are the outlier) than it used to be previously.

Hell, almost 4 years later and you can still get Columbia/Legend Blue 11s DS for less than $100 over retail.

This is what has got me so screwed up. The pics of those originals look like a red pink hue to me. A good friend of mine looked at both my white and black infra from 2014 and says they are pink. I just dont see it. Lol. This is crazy to me. I think Im losing it. To me they look like a bright infrared color. Straight from the 90s.

The OG was more of a red/ orange/hot pink. The 2014 was pink and orange. The 2014 isn’t too far off, but the extra pink distinguishes it.

Great way way to cash in twice in a short period. I’m sure these will be different enough from the 2014, not including the Nike Air, to guarantee a sell out.

I have 1 pair of DS 2014s, DS Infrared pack, and 1 2014 in rotation. 2000s are long gone.
Can’t wait to see the new release.

I have a DS pair of the 2014. Honestly, I thought about selling them but I kind of want to have DS pairs of both the 2014 and 2019 to compare. Plus, 2014 are apparently unwearable if you have a wide foot so I’m fine with simply keeping them for collection purposes.

The 2014 pair was probably the most uncomfortable Jordan shoe I’ve ever worn...I’m betting that if a person strapped the box to their feet it would’ve been more comfortable than that pair of shoes...

I got 2 pairs on release day and got rid of them both...
