Yeah good for them but this becoming a thing again will result in teams getting nowhere with top tier draftees.

I will forever be on the fence about the whole player empowerment vs team control when it comes to the rookie extensions.

If the team can't do anything after 7-8 years with a lottery player, player should be able to dip.

Agreed. The player option just makes it no longer 8-9 years. I sometimes that extra year matters but definitely agree in principle
